“But of that day and that hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels which are in heaven, neither the Son, but the Father. Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch. Watch ye therefore: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning: Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
–Mark 13:32-27
Recently, the topic of warning the deceived was visited.
The following observations were made:
- The whole world is deceived;
- Warning the deceived has little effect, as deception is a spiritual condition;
- The few doing the warning KNOW that God’s Word will be almost totally ignored in the end times; and,
- Trying to alert the deceived to their coming destruction can be tiresome at times.
THEN, the following questions were asked.
“You believe that practically all men are deceived?”
The answer was “Yes.”
The discussion continued.
“Would you say that warning the deceived is a thankless task?”
“Yes, of course.”
“IF it is mostly ineffective and thankless, then why do it?”
“Because we do not know which individuals will respond. We know very few will heed these warnings, but nevertheless, we are to warn the many.
Besides, one does not do it for the thanks.”
Most do NOT heed the end times warnings of God’s Word.
Even so, the warning will continue.
Even as most do not heed these admonitions.
Because end times men are almost universally deceived.
IF they heeded the warnings from the Word of God, they would NOT be among the deceived.
And there would be no reason to warn them.
“Son of man, speak to the children of thy people, and say unto them, When I bring the sword upon a land, if the people of the land take a man of their coasts, and set him for their watchman: If when he seeth the sword come upon the land, he blow the trumpet, and warn the people; Then whosoever heareth the sound of the trumpet, and taketh not warning; if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be upon his own head.
“He heard the sound of the trumpet, and took not warning; his blood shall be upon him. But he that taketh warning shall deliver his soul. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman’s hand.”
–Ezekiel 33:2-6

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
