THE NATURE OF TIME: God, Man and Time

“But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”
–2PETER 3:8

A great many words have been written about God and time.

Some of the words are utter nonsense; others are based on what God’s Word informs us to be true.

That God is “beyond” time is something some have claimed.

That God is “outside the bounds of time” is something else claimed.

Neither is true.

God is omnipresent.

omnipresent: present in all places at all times

God exists at every point in time from beginning to end. God inhabits every point in time past, time present and time future.  This is how God knows what will take place tomorrow: God is present at every second of the time men have labeled “tomorrow.”

God is present at every second of the time men have labeled “the future.

Again, this is how God knows the end of all things from the beginning of time.

“Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure”
–Isaiah 46:9-10

Those who disregard future events foretold in God’s Word do so at their own risk.

One thing is sure: man–who is finite–has a difficult time understanding the idea of an infinite God. A God who always was and always will be is a concept hard to grasp for man, who is a created being and whose short life on this earth has a beginning and an end.

God Himself has said that he “inhabits eternity“.

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

However, “forever” and “eternity” are merely words to men, to whom 60 or 70 years is a long time.

Perhaps this is the reason Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) writes so many words about the earth being “millions” or even “billions” of years old: men have a hard time understanding how long such time periods truly are.

God is eternal: God has no need of time.  “Time“–a counting and marking of the finite–is something which became necessary once man–a finite creature–was created.

What need has a God who is eternal to mark time?

He doesn’t.

The marking of time is for the benefit of man, whose life is very, very temporary.

To emphasize this, the Bible calls man’s life a “shadow.”

“For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.”
–1CHRONICLES 29:15

“(For we are but of yesterday, and know nothing, because our days upon earth are a shadow:)”
–Job 8:9

“Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.”
–Psalm 144:4

Man’s life has also been compared to “grass.”

“My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass.”
–Psalm 102:11

“For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away”
–1PETER 1:24

“But the rich, in that he is made low: because as the flower of the grass he shall pass away. For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.”
–James 1:10-11

Regardless of what rebellious men might say, God loves His creation.

ALL of His creation.  And God desires for man to spend eternity with Him–IF a man sincerely and truly desires so.

Which is why God, in His Word, has warned man of the severe judgments of God which will take place during the last days.

God has done this as a mercy: God derives NO pleasure from the death and destruction of the wicked.

“Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?”
–Ezekiel 18:23

“The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.”
–2PETER 3:9

“Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?”
–Ezekiel 33:11

“Therefore I will judge you, O house of Israel, every one according to his ways, saith the Lord GOD. Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.  Cast away from you all your transgressions, whereby ye have transgressed; and make you a new heart and a new spirit: for why will ye die, O house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.”
–Ezekiel 18:30-32

The events of the end times as declared in the Bible are a certainty.

God inhabits tomorrow and knows what has happened at that time.  He informs man in the hope that man will be warned, turn from his sin, turn to God and live.

However, the vast majority of men in the end times mock this mercy.

“How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts.”
–Jude 1:18

“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
–2PETER 3:3-4

It is the desire/hope that the reader will avail himself of the little time he still has, repent (change direction) and save himself.

Time–which is a concept instituted for the benefit of a finite man by an infinite Creator God–has almost run out.

“To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted; A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away; A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.”
–Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

DOES the reader believe that tomorrow will be much the same as yesterday?

DOES the reader wish this to be true?

DOES the reader believe there is plenty of time to make any necessary changes to his behavior?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

Time Has Nearly Run Out

hourglass

“And he spake to them a parable; Behold the fig tree, and all the trees; When they now shoot forth, ye see and know of your own selves that summer is now nigh at hand. So likewise ye, when ye see these things come to pass, know ye that the kingdom of God is nigh at hand.”
–Luke 21:29-31

Noticed recently while observing the masses of people running to and fro from a local WalMart: most were overweight.

And not just slightly overweight: a great many were so overweight, they needed motorized carts and other assistance in order to move from one place to another.

This was noticed by others as well.  It prompted a few lines of conversation.

“People are pigs.  Do you see how much they weigh?”

“No, pigs eat to survive: it’s what they do. This is something else: this is gluttony.”

“There’s no other word for this. It IS gluttony.”

“But what caused this gluttony?  Why now?  It wasn’t like this 40-50 years ago.  It wasn’t like this even 15 years ago. When calamity strikes the USA, many will not be able to physically cope because of such self-inflicted weaknesses.”

And so, as such things are apt to do among certain groups, the discussion meandered to end times topics.

“These people could turn things around. They could stop their eating and get back in shape.”

“Maybe, but there’s not that much time for them to do that.”

“There’s not that much time for ANYONE. Time has nearly run out.”

“Yeah.”

“Believers will know the signs of the time and the signs say it’s almost time.”

“Yeah, but no one believes that.  If you try to tell someone, they think it’s funny.”

HAS the reader noticed the signs?

DOES the reader think time has nearly run out?

The Undead

zombies

“But the most brilliant propagandist technique will yield no success unless one fundamental principle is borne in mind constantly and with unflagging attention. It must confine itself to a few points and repeat them over and over. Here, as so often in this world, persistence is the first and most important requirement for success.”
–Adolf Hitler, Propaganda, the Big Lie and Adolf Hitler: 20 Hitler Quotes on Propaganda

During the end times, man has been forced to daily listen to tall tales about the “undead.

A common example of an undead being is a corpse reanimated by supernatural forces, by the application of either the deceased’s own life force or that of another being (such as a demon).

The undead may be incorporeal like ghosts, or corporeal like vampires and zombies.

One feature of ALL undead tales: the undead prey on the living.

Another feature of ALL undead tales: the living must heroically battle–whether it be hordes of zombies or gangs of vampires–against the forces of the undead.

FOR YEARS, end times man was regaled with daily tales of vampires. It was during this time that the Twilight stories became ultra-popular.  FOR YEARS, pop culture was saturated with entertainment (movies, books, video games and TV shows) about vampires.

On an almost daily basis, FOR YEARS.

THEN, the popular topic of end times media and entertainment turned to zombies. During this time, a popular topic of media/culture/government/education was something called the Zombie Apocalypse.  FOR YEARS, pop culture was saturated with entertainment (movies, books, video games and TV shows) about zombies.

On an almost daily basis.

FOR YEARS.

(In fact, for over two years, ETPR supplied readers with a DAILY Zombie Link, which featured that day’s link to a Corporate Media article about zombies. It was during this time a reader inquired about the purpose of having a DAILY Zombie Link. The reader was informed that it was to highlight and to document the relentless campaign to indoctrinate the public on this topic.

It was during this time that the U.S. Center for Disease Control began issuing pamphlets, warnings and drills pretending as if zombies were a real-life problem.)

As regular readers know, for propaganda to be effective, it has to be repeated frequently over time.  This helps explain the frequency of the fascination with/indoctrination concerning the undead, which continued daily FOR YEARS.

This indoctrination continues to present day–though it is not as frequent as it was in years previous.

Can the reader speculate as to why this took place?

Can the reader speculate as to the media/entertainment/cultural fascination with the undead?

Can the reader speculate as to an end times reason why this daily indoctrination about the undead took place?

“No amount of genius spent on the creation of propaganda will lead to success if a fundamental principle is not forever kept in mind. Propaganda must confine itself to very few points, and repeat them endlessly. Here, as with so many things in this world, persistence is the first and foremost condition of success.”
–Adolf Hitler, Propaganda, the Big Lie and Adolf Hitler: 20 Hitler Quotes on Propaganda

HAS the reader heard tell of any of these tales of the undead?

HAS the reader been told to “keep an open mind” about such stories?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Five Myths and Legends of the End Times Churches

end times churches

While much has been written in these parts concerning the corruption and deception in the buildings known as “the churches,” it should be stressed that not everyone who inhabits these buildings is an active agent of Satan.

Many of the church folk are members of these satanic networks out of a vague sense that in order to “do right” the churches are where they have to be in order to demonstrate they are “good people.”

“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:10-12

MORE: LORD, LORD: Who is Crying Lord, Lord?

IF one believes the Bible is the Word of God, one has to believe the following description of worship in the end times.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
Revelation 13:4,8

QUESTION: Just where does the reader think all of this dragon worship will be taking place?  Is there a massive satanic church building plan in the dragon’s future?

Or does he just use the churches which are already shot through with apostasy, perverse spirits, idols, witchcraft, revolt, other gospels and paganism?

What does the Bible say about those who inhabit the end times churches?

Grievous wolves, ravening wolves, wolves in sheep’s clothing, seducers, evil men, false prophets, false Christs, ungodly men, “men…speaking perverse things,” false teachers, “them which cause division and offences contrary to doctrine…by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple,” false apostles, deceitful workers, “ministers of Satan” who present themselves as “ministers of righteousness”: this is who the Bible warns will be in the churches.
End Times Churches: Broken Beyond Repair

Many church folk support the churches because they believe that they are fulfilling Hebrews 10:25.

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

One question: would the reader believe he is fulfilling Hebrews 10:25 by visiting a grocery store or a library?

IF one believes the churches are full of believers–as opposed to full of those who PROFESS their love of God –then one has already shut one’s eyes to what is really taking place in these structures.

Here are five myths and legends told in and about the churches.

1- The churches preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The churches REFUSE to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.

NONE of the wolves in the pulpits will EVER preach the gospel of Jesus Christ.  They will TALK about the gospel.  They will shout about the gospel.  But they will not preach the gospel.  This is the primary reason that 99 percent of church-goers do not know the gospel of Jesus Christ.  If asked, they will offer one of the many church-provided substitutes.  When told what the gospel of Jesus Christ is, they will say “Oh yeah.  I knew that.”  One man–who attended a Bible college–maintained that John 3:16 was the gospel. While John 3:16 is a fine Bible verse, it is NOT the gospel of Jesus Christ.
The Deception That is the Churches

MORE: Counterfeit Churches: Do Not Know the Gospel, Can’t Preach It

2- The churches convert the heathen into the kingdom of heaven.

How can the church folk convert the lost when the gospel is not preached?

Altar calls, ABC’s of Salvation, “letting Jesus into your heart,” sinners’ prayers, signing pledge cards, prayers of repentance, raising a hand at a revival: those in the churches avoid preaching the gospel at all costs.
Other Gospels: A Form of Godliness, No Power

There is no end to the number of well-meaning folk who, overcome by the emotion of the moment, pledge themselves to “God.” Because they are doing a work on their own–instead of with the assistance of God’s Holy Spirit–their efforts at “turning over a new leaf” are bound to fail. This is why so many bounce back and forth between the world and the churches; leaving for awhile and then returning.

3- The churches offer the unbelieving a demonstration of God’s power.

One of the most popular past times in the apostate churches is …listening to the countless explanations by those who run the churches for WHY the church folk are so POWERLESS.
The Powerless Churches: Church Folk and Their Lack of God’s Power

4- The churches are full of the Holy Spirit.  Church-goers regularly experience a move of the Holy Spirit.

There is so much chatter in the churches about experiencing a “move of the (Holy) Spirit.”

And yet, so many “Christians” hunger for a “move of God” or a “manifestation of the Spirit;” of experiencing what the Bible declares they already have: a presence of the Lord. We live in a time when experiences trump the Word of God.

Pew-sitters and pulpit-poachers are both searching for what the Bible clearly says they should already possess: the Holy Spirit. But most appear willing to accept any spirit–and do. Especially when that spirit brings excitement.

5- I am surrounded by my “church family.”

Many in the churches are looking for a “family” of one sort or the other. They greatly desire to associate with a group of people around whom one can relax and “be myself.”

So many in the churches KNOW that something is not right.

Yet so very few actually act on this knowledge.

MOST reassure themselves by ignoring the many questions which fuel their doubts.

Some reassure themselves with the platitude about “There are no perfect churches.” But, if they thought about it, their misgivings are not about perfection but about basics.

Others wander from church to church, looking for a solution where none exists: seeking answers from those who inspired the questions.

For advice, some turn to the same folks who caused their concerns: the wolves in the pulpit.

Others are frightened by the thought of leaving behind friendships they have formed while in the churches. But if these “friendships” are so fragile as to torn asunder by one’s biblical doubts, then such a relationship was never really a friendship at all.

Only a few, in their desperation, turn to God for advice and comfort.

Again, MANY KNOW something is not right.

FEW act upon it.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
–Matthew 7:13-14

There are many other myths and legends surrounding the churches.

These are only five of the more popular ones.
