There are many who think they know what the Bible says about earthquakes in the time before the return of Jesus Christ.
However…
Many believe the Bible says that there will an increase in earthquakes in the end times.
But the Bible actually is silent about the number of earthquakes which will appear in the last days.
In fact, there are only a few references to end times earthquakes in the Bible.
And they all pretty much give the exact same information.
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places.”
–Matthew 24:7
“For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.”
–Mark 13:8
“Then said he unto them, Nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven.”
–Luke 21:10-11
“earthquakes in divers places…”

2- an indefinite number more than one
SO, Jesus warned (three times) of “earthquakes in divers (various, several) places,” but he did not say that there would be an increase in the number of earthquakes.
Though in Luke, the phrase is “GREAT earthquakes in divers places.”
This agrees with two descriptions in Revelation.
“And there were voices, and thunders, and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such as was not since men were upon the earth, so mighty an earthquake, and so great.”
–Revelation 16:18
“And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
–Revelation 11:13
It would appear that a sign of the times is not neccessarily MANY earthquakes, but earthquakes in varied places, some of them being GREAT EARTHQUAKES.
And now you know.

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
