The Aftermath of Hollywood’s Glamour

IF one were to wander through the HUNDREDS of hours of “true” Hollywood biographies online, then one  might get a very distinctive feeling about the way the lives of Hollywood “stars” turn out.

And that result is NOT good.

According to the narrators of these snippets of the lives of Hollywood “stars,” once upon a time these luminaries enjoyed fame, money and all that this life could offer.

BUT, the endings of these little vignettes seem to offer nothing but cookie cutter finishes.

Something on the order of

“And so, Hollywood chewed up another tough cookie and spit her out.”

No matter how much money.

No matter how famous.

No matter how successful.

The stars end up (according to these video versions) usually in the throes of physical addiction to alcohol, pills, cocaine, bad women, bad men (or both), bad advice and/or bad judgment.

The endings are so much the same; so much so predictable: the reader is FORCED to come to one of two conclusions.

1- Like so much else that comes from Hollywood, these biographies are nothing more than stories. Stories meant to deceive the viewer, but stories nonetheless.

2- These biographies are NOT merely stories, but real reflections of the aftermath of a life immersed in something which is more than it is portrayed to the public.  The stories are a spin on what really happened, intended to distract the viewer from the real cause of the constant unhappiness and seeming self-destruction that is the real product of Hollywood.

Which is it?

Hard to tell, BUT

neither choice is a good one.

Which does the reader believe it to be?

DOES the reader believe the “stars” of Hollywood live charmed lives?

PERHAPS they do?!?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
