Choosing To Live With Torment and Affliction

demon

“And no nation or tribe to my knowledge has not acknowledged that there are many invisible beings, and that they divide into good spirits and evil spirits, according to how they benefit man.”
–Witching Hour, Anne Rice

The above quote is not entirely true.

Modern man–at least those living in the country formerly known as the United States of America–does not deny that there exist invisible beings (some which benefit man, others which do not).

MORE

However, modern man DOES deny that there are spirits and that these spirits either benefit or perplex man.

Every society from the beginning of time until the present–with the sole exception of modern man–KNEW that torments and afflictions were the province of the agents (demons/devils/spirits) of torment and affliction.

However, modern man has been bombarded daily with stories about the source of where his afflictions and torments originate.

And most of those afflictions are not what many might normally think such torments are: major physical, mental or emotionally afflictions.  Many of these torments do not sound like major issues–BUT, to those who are afflicted, these conditions ARE a major issue.

Fear” is just a vague idea–UNLESS one suffers from that tell-tale jackhammering of the heart which signals real, physical fear.

AND, a certain group of people are PROMISED fear: the wicked.

“The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.”
–Proverbs 28:1

“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.”
–Proverbs 10:24

The wicked invite the agents of torment to attack their serenity–and it is ONLY by invitation that such agents are given control of such men.

Peace” is only a concept–UNLESS one has been tormented by a lack of serenity.

“But the wicked are like the troubled sea, when it cannot rest, whose waters cast up mire and dirt. There is no peace, saith my God, to the wicked.”
–Isaiah 57:20-21

“There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.”
–Isaiah 48:22

The wicked invite the agents of torment to attack their calm; their mental quiet–and it is ONLY by invitation that such agents are given control of such men.

Insomnia” is only a word–UNLESS one craves the soothing salve of sweet sleep.

“I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, LORD, only makest me dwell in safety.”
–Psalm 4:8

“For they sleep not, except they have done mischief; and their sleep is taken away, unless they cause some to fall.”
–Proverbs 4:16

They sleep not; they cannot compose themselves to sleep with quietness and satisfaction to their own minds. To fall into their own snares, either into sin or into mischief.
Matthew Poole’s Commentary

The wicked invite the agents of torment to attack their slumber–and it is ONLY by invitation that such agents are given control of such men.

Modern man is told a great many tales and stories about his torments and afflictions.

Mostly, how these deviltries are mostly provoked by physical causes.

What those who are tormented are NOT told is that they themselves open the door to their torments. Modern man is also NOT told that he can close that door.

However, it is speculated that a great many who suffer torments and afflictions of various sorts would NOT close the door when given the chance.

Modern man is mad to learn the parlor tricks, trinkets and lies associated with such agents of torment and affliction.

And so, modern man CHOOSES to live with his torments and afflictions.

IN FACT, many of the deceived will find excuses to keep that doorway to their torments jammed wide open.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
