End Times Liars

liar

“Lying lips are abomination to the LORD: but they that deal truly are his delight.”
–Proverbs 12:22

Telling lies seems to be a fairly straight forward case: telling lies is a sin–liars are sinners–and ALL sin leads to death and destruction of the sinner IF the sinner remains unrepentant.

BUT one of the signs of the end times is deception.

And one of the signs of deception is the justification of those who tell and spread lies.

In fact, “lie” and “liars” are not very-much used terms in the end times–as there are PLENTY of euphemisms used for not telling the truth.

  1. Fibs.
  2. Playing fast and loose with the facts.
  3. Malarkey.
  4. Little white lies.
  5. Telling alternate facts.
  6. Whoppers.
  7. Tall tales.
  8. Baloney.
  9. Misrepresentation.
  10. Falsehood.

There are MANY more.

But regardless of what men may say about lying–and ALL men are liars–God’s Word is perfectly clear about the sin of lying.

“yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written.”
–Romans 3:4

Five verses which declare EXACTLY how God’s Word feels about liars and their lies–in fact, ALL who practice falseness and construct false stories.

“Ye shall not steal, neither deal falsely, neither lie one to another.”
–Leviticus 19:11

“A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.”
–Proverbs 19:9

“Thou shalt not raise a false report: put not thine hand with the wicked to be an unrighteous witness.”
–Exodus 23:1

“These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”
–Proverbs 6:16-19

“He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight. I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the LORD.”
–Psalm 101:7-8

FINALLY, God’s Word informs us who will be spending eternity with the LORD, as well as those who will be on the outside looking in.

Liars are pretty much where one would expect them to be: on the outside.

“Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.”
–Revelation 22:15

IF ever there was such a time, the end times are a time for liars and the lies they tell.

HOWEVER, regardless of the time, ALL liars will face eternal judgment.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

Anyone who believes otherwise is lying to themselves.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
