April Festival Roundup

In April, the Pagan, Druid, Heathen, and Wiccan festival season kicks into full swing with preparation for May celebrations.

In defense of Beltane

These days, I live in a pagan community, where Beltane is the biggest day of the year. Folks of diverse ethnicities merge their own pagan customs into a festival of magical abundance. We do our best to revive suppressed traditions.

Is the Origin of Easter Based on Ancient Pagan Gods?

Easter, in actual fact, has been celebrated since the beginning of the Christian Church to coincide with the Jewish Passover.
Because the Jewish Passover was set using a lunar calendar the date of Easter was also fixed in the same way.

“Easter” cannot be found in God’s Word.

2000 years ago, the word “Easter” was unknown outside of pagans/heathens.

(Yes, Acts 12:4 does use the word “Easter,”  but many older Bibles have footnotes at the end of the verse informing readers that, in this instance, the original Greek word for “Passover” was translated as “Easter.”  Wonder why?)

Is Jesus based on pagan gods? – Blasphemy become more bold in the last days–particularly blasphemy originating in the churches.

As with most Christian holidays, this one also has pagan roots. Eostre, the pagan springtime goddess, lent her name to the celebration. As with many pagan rituals, specific symbols had particular meanings:  Egg symbolized rebirth, lamb symbolized sacrifice, and breads/cakes symbolized fertility.

Substitute “the churches” for “Christian” in the above paragraph and it makes sense.

13 Legit Reasons for Christians to Resent Witches – Witches are deceived–like any other worker of iniquity, which includes false and phony Christians (the tares).

If history and scripture are reliable indications, Christians have been scared to death of witches since the beginning!

A base lie.

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.”
–1JOHN 4:18

Christians are NOT “scared to death of witches.”

Christians fear God: not man, not witches, not witchcraft.

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

Christians are NOT to resent witches.

Christians are to PRAY for witches.

Counterfeit Christians (tares), however, are free to do the things that fakes have always claimed REAL Christians are to do.

“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.  For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.”
–1TIMOTHY 2:1-4

“…supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for ALL men…”

Sorry Christians: Our Bible Contains Fake Letters From Paul (And Peter) – The attacks on the authenticity of Scripture naturally increases in the end times.

Is Everyone a Christian Who Claims to Be a Christian? – Easy enough to answer.

Hell is a slander against God, and against the victims of evil – Who is one to believe: Jesus Christ or another counterfeit Christian writer?

“And I say unto you my friends, Be not afraid of them that kill the body, and after that have no more that they can do. But I will forewarn you whom ye shall fear: Fear him, which after he hath killed hath power to cast into hell; yea, I say unto you, Fear him.”

The witch who serves no one

Witchcraft is, above all, a way for us to stand in the power of our truth. Witches need serve no one, not deities, spirits or other humans.

Game of Thrones: How Melisandre’s Role as a Priestess Is Pivotal

Her arrival is, frankly, something we should have seen coming — because, yes, Melisandre is the closest thing Game of Thrones has to a witch, and that has played a pivotal role in the series.

This is the game the media/entertainment plays: Milisandre has engaged in witchcraft, while other characters on the show have called her “a witch.”

BUT, those who write about the show pretend maybe she is, maybe she isn’t.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
