DO NOT WAIT
ONE MUST BE REBORN SPIRITUALLY TO SEE THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
IF the reader sincerely places his trust and faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ–and Jesus Christ alone–to get him to heaven, the reader taken the first steps to obtaining eternal salvation.
One might wonder why anyone would turn down the free gift from God of eternal salvation? But the world is deceived–and those who live in the end times world are GREATLY deceived.
A FEW obtain eternal salvation and are ever grateful for the gift of grace and mercy which made this gift possible.
However…
SOME are naturally stubborn and rebellious. These not only do not believe, they wear their disbelief as a badge of honor.
“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
–1SAMUEL 15:23
Perhaps the reader knows one or more of this group?
SOME really do believe they are saved and are driven to utter confusion by the many tall tales they hear in the churches. However, these have NOT experienced the new birth (being reborn spiritually; born again) and so they believe that because they insist to others they are saved, they are saved.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
–John 3:3
“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
–John 3:4-7
SOME know they are not saved–but for whatever their reasons–which usually include deceiving others–they just don’t “get around to it.”
Because these men have NO faith, they really do not believe the gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of how loudly or frequently they may claim otherwise.
EMERGENCY CHRISTIANS
BUT there is one other group which might be the oddest of all.
These are the “Emergency Christians.”
These are those which adopt a “wait-and-see” stance.
“If I see a worldwide government and they want to chip me or brand with a 666, I’m running straight to God!”
But these wait-and-see-ers do NOT have the faith necessary to obtain eternal salvation.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
–Hebrews 11:6
By treating the gospel of Jesus Christ as a sort of emergency measure, they demonstrate they have NO FAITH–otherwise they would fall to their knees, repent (change direction) and cry out to God for their salvation NOW–instead of waiting until they see which way the wind is blowing.
By waiting for signs they can see with their eyes and experience with their other worldly senses, they declare that they have NO FAITH.
“For we are saved by hope [faith]: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?”
–Romans 8:24
By treating the gospel of Jesus Christ like a “Get Out of Hell Free” card, the members of this group condemn themselves to an eternity of torment.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is NOT a Plan B.
Hesitation = disbelief = no faith = failing to believe and commit to the one thing necessary for eternal life.
IF there was a warning to be gained from this piece, it would be: do not hesitate.
Do not wait.
Change direction (repent) and believe the gospel of Jesus Christ NOW with all your heart.
If the reader would listen to one who declared (more than once), “One of these days, I’m going to find out what I have to do to get to heaven. And then, I’m going to do it!” then the reader will make his calling and election sure.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
