Psalm 8 contains several of the best-known verses in the Bible.
For instance, verses 4 and 5.
“What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour.”
Psalm 8 is the 8th psalm from the Book of Psalms. Its authorship is traditionally assigned to king David.
Among the many commentaries on Psalm 8 is the following.
Sometimes the power of God brings to pass great things in his church, by very weak and unlikely instruments, that the excellency of the power might the more evidently appear to be of God, and not of man. This he does, because of his enemies, that he may put them to silence.

PSALM 8
“O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. O LORD our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!”
Psalm 8 is only nine verses in length.
YET, over half of those nine verses are referred to elsewhere in the Bible.
So, Psalm 8 is a highly-quotable psalm.

Like all Psalms, Psalm 8 is a source of thanksgiving, praise and COMFORT in a time of trouble for all those who rely on its words.
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
