The believer is hated by all men in the world who do not believe because the believer is a follower of Jesus Christ.
“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake.”
–Luke 21:17
HOWEVER, in spite of this hatred, the follower of Jesus Christ is to pray for ALL men–including those who hate him.
“I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men”
–1TIMOTHY 2:1
Those who live as part of this world do not understand this kind of thinking, but as Jesus Himself instructed:
“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.”
–Luke 6:27-28
Indeed, the believer is NOT to curse those who hate him.
“Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.”
–Romans 12:14
Why is this?
Because through many infallible proofs, not the least of which are the numerous, otherwise inexplicable changes wrought by the Holy Spirit, the believer KNOWS that the only difference between himself and those for whom he prays is the great mercy and grace of God.
The many who hate the believer are deceived.
The believer KNOWS this–and it sums up the relationship between the few who believe and the many who do not.
The believer remembers when he was just as deceived as any of those poor, stumbling men for whom he now prays.
And just as lost.
IS the reader one of the few or one of the many?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
