The Vagaries of Time

an erratic, unpredictable, or extravagant manifestation, action, or notion

Lately, the world has been promoting a number of “erratic, unpredictable or extravagant…notions” which concern time.

We present a few of those.

But first:

1- The concept of time.

Time is a measurement of the finite.

Before man, there was no “time.”  An eternal being such as God had no need of time.

Only when a creature with a relatively short life span was created was the concept of time necessary.

One thing is sure: man–who is finite–has a difficult time understanding the idea of an infinite God. A God who always was and always will be is a concept hard to grasp for man, who is a created being and whose short life on this earth has a beginning and an end.

God Himself has said that he “inhabits eternity“.

“For thus saith the high and lofty One that inhabiteth eternity, whose name is Holy; I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also that is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones.”

However, “forever” and “eternity” are merely words to men, to whom 60 or 70 years is a long time.

2 – Most of the world’s stories about time and the manipulation of time have to do with fantasies about the escaping of God’s judgment.

“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment”
–Hebrews 9:27

This is especially true of the world’s latest narratives concerning TIME TRAVEL.

3- Time travel is a sort of “What If” fantasy among the wicked, who dream of escaping judgment for their behaviors.

It is not surprising that as the time of judgment grows ever nearer, Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) and SCIENCE! continue to flesh out and expand the stories about time travel.

TIME TRAVEL seems to function as a sort of “escape pod” from God’s judgment for the wicked.

The notion of “time travel” has been hyped, not only in the “news,” but in that ultimate determiner of important propaganda themes: the Hollywood blockbusters of Big Entertainment.

4- The world–particularly Science!–continues to promote the “millions of years-old” lies.

Science! is an ancient, pagan religion which has as its principle goal, the disputing of Scripture.

This is especially true whenever Science! hypes its latest “discoveries” which “prove” the earth is much older than it is.

Hollywood, Science! and the world throw around numbers like millions-of-years-old like they really understand what those terms mean.

Man has trouble comprehending DECADES–it has only been 230 years since the founding of the United States, yet who is alive who remembers any of that?

It is little wonder man’s eyes glaze over whenever “millions” of years are claimed for fossils, relics, whatever.

Time marks the finite existence of man.  Time is linear and cannot be bent–regardless of what the stories of Science! claim.

Time is also relative: at times seeming to move quickly–as when one faces a looming deadline; at other times, seeming to move slowly–as any child awaiting the loot of Christmas can attest.

The number of stories about time–particularly those stories which claim that man may manipulate time–will continue to be more heavily promoted.

We’re also reminded that such stories will also continue to be believed by deceived men.

DOES the reader believe any of the fairy tales about time which have recently been told and re-told?

WHY?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
