Receiving the Mark of the Beast Will Be a Mundane Affair

ordinary, mundane

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
–Revelation 13:16-18

Mark of the beast?

Ho hum: just another inconvenience for the non-believer to work around.

Many of the stories told by the church folk about receiving the mark of the beast are usually overly-dramatic.

Not long ago, it was recalled that one young man in a church swore that he would “never take the make of the beast–even if they held him down.”

It is STRONGLY suspected that no one will have to be restrained or forced to take the mark of the beast: in fact, people will be standing in line in order to receive their mark.

Forced to take the mark?

In reality, the complete opposite will more than likely be true: the mark of the beast will become a very mundane, very ordinary part of everyday modern life.

The mark may have something to do with verifying bank accounts–that modern necessity which almost every person has been forced to open (if one receives a federal benefit or retirement check).  And moderns are so busy; so distracted that they will do almost ANYTHING to make everyday life a little smoother and less hassled.

Does the reader wish to buy or sell?

Then the reader must have the mark of the beast.

And there will be no end of excuses for why it will be “necessary” to procure the mark: the need for food; for receiving prescriptions; to insure the health of the old folks–or the kids–or the ones taking the mark.

And once a person receives that mark, there is no hope of them ever escaping eternal torment.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
–Revelation 14:9-11

And make no mistake: receiving the mark of the beast is all about worshiping the dragon (Satan) instead of God.

But moderns have become adept at lying to themselves.

Just as it usually does, receiving the mark will come down to a choice between a person’s personal comfort and convenience–and eternal torment.

And eternity is just a concept.

But getting Dad’s prescriptions?

That’s here-and-now.

And mundane…

And ordinary…

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
