A World of Carefully Constructed Chance and Chaos

dice random

No doubt there would be a great many surprised at the amount of careful planning and painstaking effort which is put into maintaining the illusion that the world is a stage where events of sheer chance and random chaos are played out.

Naturally, the reader might inquire “Why make preplanned events look like chaotic chance?”

There are a number of reasons for this–and it is certain that most readers will be able to add more.

  1. It allows those who script the events to escape responsibility for them.
  2. It allows the outcomes of events to be known beforehand by those who write the scripts.
  3. It makes planning so much easier when the outcomes are predetermined.
  4. The public is much more inclined to accept outcomes it feels were determined by random chance–or by their VOTES in an election–than they would be if they were given marching orders by those calling the shots.
  5. It promotes the idea that the families of the rich and celebrated win their positions and influence by merit–instead of their way being smoothed by their family and friends.
  6. Those who know the outcomes of certain events beforehand might engage in wagers to increase their wealth–usually by having others seemingly unconnected to the bettor doing the actual gambling.
  7. Certain events which have been planned YEARS in advance look like the random happenings of chance.  The public is much more supportive of WAR if it is chaotically “stumbled into” instead of planned like a wedding reception.
  8. Leaders who introduce sweeping changes are supported by the public IF it is supposed those leaders are the “best and brightest” the present system is turning out–and IF those leaders are “forced” to make those sweeping changes due to “circumstances beyond our control.

As stated earlier, no doubt the reader will be able to add more reasons why a carefully-planned and scripted event might rather be presented to the public as a random, chance happening.

There are certain protections offered to who hide in the weeds of apparent randomness.

So, there are number of reasons why the rich and celebrated who control this world might want to manipulate the events of this world and not be discovered manipulating them.

“The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.”
–Psalm 2:2-3

There are a number of little tricks employed to change the subject anytime one of the public stumbles upon this truth.

1- The idea that two obviously-connected events are connected is labeled a “coincidence.”

“Coincidence is the word we use when we can’t see the levers and pulleys.”
Emma Bull

2- Certain phrases are repeated over and over and over again until those phrases are believed as if they were the truth. These phrases usually accompany those stories which MOST beggar belief.

“You can’t make this stuff up!”

“The camera doesn’t lie!”

Truth is stranger than fiction!”

3- The relentless promotion of anyone who stumbles upon the truth as a “conspiracy theorist.

This illustrates a primary characteristic of conspiracy theories: ANYONE WHO DOES NOT GO ALONG WITH ONE OF THE WORLD’S CONSPIRACY THEORIES IS LABELED A CONSPIRACY THEORIST AND THE TRUTH THEY HAVE STUMBLED UPON IS LABELED A CONSPIRACY THEORY.

Satan, the world and Satan’s workers of iniquity are VERY good at deception, but there STILL remains chinks in their armor.

Every day, men happen upon what is REALLY occurring in the world around them.  MOST of these men convince THEMSELVES they are wrong and the world is right.

And then they go back to being surrounded by make-believe AS IF nothing extraordinary had happened.

“Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.’
Winston Churchill

Almost 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ warned that before he returned, man should take heed that the end times world would be filled with deception.

“And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you”
–Mark 13:3-5

And yet, men are still VERY deceived.

Perhaps that deceit begins with modern man believing–against what he often can see with his own eyes–that he lives in a world filled with random chance and the resulting chaos.

What does the reader think?

HAS the reader ever discovered the many pieces of his world fitting together too neatly?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

“But What IF You’re Wrong?”

A question which is often posed to the believer by a largely-unbelieving world is

“But what if you’re wrong?”

When one is a new believer, this question DOES give cause for a pause.

After all–as one is told so often by those in the churches–such a question should be treated as an OPPORTUNITY.  As an opportunity to win a soul to the LORD, or so the church stories go, one should take his time and choose his words carefully.

This puts the onus on the one who was asked the question.

And so, the new believer pores over Scripture to find the EXACTLY RIGHT thing to say when asked this question.

BUT as time passes, the new believer becomes more knowledgeable and realizes a few things about such a question.

“But what if you’re wrong?”

1- The new believer’s biggest opportunity when asked this question is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the one asking the question.

And that is pretty much ALL of the believer’s duty in a nutshell.

The gospel is then either a) believed and the hearer saved for eternity; OR much more commonly,  b) disbelieved and the hearer condemns himself to eternal torment.  The believer sharing the gospel has NO hand in this decision–other than to present the gospel of Jesus Christ for the hearer to make a decision.

The believer may STRONGLY desire that the person hearing the gospel makes the right choice and chooses life. BUT, the believer has no other input into that choice other than presenting the gospel of Jesus Christ.

And praying.

“But what if you’re wrong?”

2- As the believer becomes more familiar with the world, the ways of the world and being so much different from the rest of the world, he realizes that the question (“But what if you’re wrong?”) is occasionally asked as a question; i.e., the person asking the question is interested in hearing an answer.

More often, the question (“But what if you’re wrong?”) is given as an ANSWER; as something which hopefully will cause the believer to question his faith; as a method to get the believer to shut up; of ending the current conversation instead of starting a new one.

The longer a believer has been around, the more he realizes that the whole world is deceived by Satan.

“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

The more knowledgeable believer also knows that deception is a SPIRITUAL problem.  As such, it CANNOT be combated by information, more effective communication techniques, more research, clever words, logic, or any of the other supposed remedies provided by the world.

The best weapon the believer has in fighting deception is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and let the “power of God unto salvation” do its work.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

Or not.

IF a man believes he has some sort of power to win souls using what are, essentially, sales techniques: he is himself deceived.

“But what if you’re wrong?”

3- Finally, the believer understands that the question itself is easily answered–IF an answer was the actual goal of the question.

“But what if you’re wrong?”

IF the believer is wrong, then the world would not change for the non-believer.  He would continue to prance along the wide way to destruction.

“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
–Matthew 7:13-14

While dancing to his doom, the non-believer would be blissfully unaware of his eternal judgment.

IF the believer is wrong, then life would not change for the believer, either.

However, so many ask this question, not as a question, but as a statement, and are not sincerely looking for an answer.  For most, they believe they ALREADY possess all of the answers they need to live a productive and happy life.

In short, IF the believer was wrong–and so many believe beforehand that he IS wrong–NOTHING WOULD LIKELY CHANGE for ANYONE–particularly, the one asking the question.

The smug often unknowingly determine their future by their absolute conviction that the world is where one should place one’s faith for the future.

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
–James 4:4

DOES the reader feel that what he might say–other than the gospel of Jesus Christ–to an unbeliever is very important?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

What Does the Bible Say About the Good Old Days?

retro: good old days

The world never gets tired of chasing after the “Good Old Days.”

Perhaps the reader has even overheard someone referring to the “Good Old Days“?

Occasionally, someone will even say something about the “Good Old Days” that makes sense.

“Nothing is more responsible for the good old days than a bad memory.”
-Franklin P. Adams

Most will find it surprising that even the Bible mentions the “Good Old Days“–though God’s Word does not call them the “Good Old Days.

God’s Word calls those times past which so many so fondly mis-remember as the “former days.

“Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.”
–Ecclesiastes 7:10

DOES the reader ever fondly recall the former days?

DOES the reader ever wonder, when fondly remembering days past, if he has a selective memory?

The More’s the Merrier!

crowded

WHILE looking through some information from 2016, the following was re-discovered.

America prepares for war in space: Defense chiefs warn that Russia and China could take down the internet by destroying US satellites

Defence chiefs have warned the US is falling behind Russia and China, who are taking aim at their superpower rival with a frightening array of space-age weapons designed to knock-out key satellite systems.

Some headlines concentrate on ONE dishonesty.

Some headlines feature two untruths.

A chosen FEW headlines pack THREE or more indoctrination points  in their attention-nabbing words.

The headline at the opening of this piece demonstrates a true efficiency in deception: stuffing at least FOUR Big Lies in only twenty-two words.

  1. That there is such a place we call “outer space.”
  2. That Russia, the USA and China are enemies–instead of cooperative parts of the end-time world-ruling council.
  3. That there are “satellites” in outer space.
  4. That those who erected the biggest information-gathering machinery (called the Internet) the world has ever known are going to somehow “take it down.”

Have to hand it to the person writing the headline: that’s a very potent use of twenty-two words.

Satan is a tricky fellow.

And efficient too, apparently.

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
