IF the reader looks around him, he will no doubt become aware that he is SURROUNDED on all sides by conflict and high drama.
The conflicts are many, varied and at every level of human interaction: local, state, national, international.
The conflicts and drama appear to be between those in every sphere of life: entertainment; politics and government; sports; society; those who are of the various inherited castes (royalty in some countries, celebrities in others); education; culture.
Some of the drama consists of ARMED CONFLICT: war, rebellion, violent protest, coup d’état.
Some of the drama consists of very public, very contentious, very quotable disagreements between those who supposedly sit on one side of an issue and those on the other side. A great number of these public disagreements consist of the many public “feuds” between the glitterati (which the media apparently NEVER tires of covering in great and interminable detail.
Has the reader ever wondered why his life is so full of other people’s problems? Why he hears so much about the very public disagreements of other folks?
It may come as a RELIEF to the reader to know that the vast majority of publicized conflict is only make-believe.
Oh, some public disagreements are between those who abhor one another–but the vast majority are set pieces, manufactured by those in control–and employing the puppets one sees in all sectors of public life–for one of several reasons.
- The disagreement or conflict helps move the overall agenda forward.
- The conflict makes it appear that a “settlement” was “the best that could be hoped for given the circumstances.”
- It makes the conflict appear to be orchestrated by forces beyond normal human control. Ending such a MAJOR HUMAN CATASTROPHE is said to be more important than the MINOR inconveniences imposed by any settlement.
- It then makes negotiations seem more important than they are.
- Conflict–especially of the armed (shooting) variety–makes negotiations appear to have a higher purpose than the mere moving forward of wicked plans.
- Conflict, disagreement and drama attract the public’s attention in ways that an announcement or press release lack.
- High drama and conflict DISTRACT. Because they focus the reader’s mind on the claimed conflict–and away from other unpleasant aspects on one’s life–they are VERY useful as distracting devices. And unpopular political decisions which take away something (perhaps a “right” or money) the public believed it possessed certainly need distractions to “take the edge off.”
As distractions, both sports and entertainment provide more ammunition than other types of everyday drama.
Both sports and entertainment provide distractions by the orchestrated shows they put on for the public–and for which the public pays to be distracted.
Both sports and entertainment ALSO provide distractions by the antics of the players during their time off of the stage.
Sports figures feud; they hassle teams over payments; they provide private lives (marriages, children, spouses) for the public’s entertainment and distraction; and, they run afoul of the law.
This last aspect is VERY dramatic in several different ways. Perhaps this is the reason so many sports figures have become little more than well-paid, well-known gang members over the past twenty years or so? Instead of wearing gang colors, the players wear the uniform of the local team.
As a bonus, the reader gets to feel superior to these well-paid, highly-publicized figures.
“I might be poor and miserable, but at least I’m not as miserable as Mr X. and his girlfriend.”
There are a number of ways the reader can determine that most publicized conflict is phony.
How many times has the reader learned of a public disagreement and said, “That’s silly!”?
How many times has the reader read of a “feud” in which those supposedly involved in the conflict cannot basically keep a straight face about it. This is when the reader learns that the “feud” was only a “joke” or a “prank” or “someone else’s idea“?
How many times has the reader wondered how those “opponents” are able to socialize while involved in such dramatic battles?
How many armed conflicts resolve NOTHING–except for the killing of many citizens?
The end times are a time of mass deception.
Most conflicts and drama are only a part of this deception.
IS the reader fond of hearing about the drama of other–particularly wealthy or famous–people?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
