One-World Government: Is it Already Here?

“Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. [1 year + 2 years + 1/2 year = 3 1/2 years]“
–Daniel 7:23-25

“And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.”
–Revelation 17:2

During several recent conversations, some lesser-known aspects of the end times were discussed–in particular, the one-world government which the Bible has warned about and the man of sin, which the Bible has ALSO warned about.

1- One item of these discussions was the TIMING of the ONE-WORLD GOVERNMENT and the MAN OF SIN (false prophet, false Messiah).

MANY believe that the one-world government and the man of sin both come on the scene at the same time.

This is not what God’s Word declares.

The one-world government happens FIRST, then at some later time (the Bible does not say when or how much later), the man of sin makes his appearance, uproots THREE of the kings on the ruling council of TEN KINGS and takes their place.

“And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.”
–Daniel 7:24

Daniel 7:24 informs the reader that “ten kings…shall arise” and THEN the man of sin shall rise “AFTER” them.

So, before the false Messiah/man of sin/little horn/false prophet makes his appearance, the entire world will  FIRST be under the control of the one-world government.

Which means that all who are watching for end times signs should be alert to the one-world government happening BEFORE the man of sin appears.

2- The revealing of the man of sin is one of the TWO signs that the return of Jesus Christ is VERY, VERY near.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”
–2THESSALONIANS 2:3

To all of those who wander around, making the claim that “Jesus can come at any time.”

NO, He cannot.

AFTER the man of sin is revealed AND AFTER the “falling away” (great end times rebellion against God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ), THEN that statement would be true.

Not before.

3- Is the one-world government ALREADY in place, but– like so much else in the end times–Satan and his workers of iniquity have disguised its existence?

One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.

Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.

Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

One could easily argue that world events would not have changed much at all IF the world had been aware that it was (probably since World War II.  Maybe before that.) being ruled by the 10 most powerful nations on earth.

One could ALSO argue that the world was wonderfully and quickly coordinated in its recent battle against the coronavirus: within two months, the entire world was marching at a social distance.  Quarantines, lockdowns, shelter-in-place: it did not matter where in the world one lived, he pretty much saw the same things happening.

It was a splendid example of worldwide cooperation never seen before.

One could ALSO argue that the one-world government will NOT be putting up signs advertising its existence.  In fact, Psalm 2 says these “kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed.”  It does NOT say that these kings will make those counsels known to the rest of the world.

4- IF the one-world government is already in existence, then who are the TEN KINGS (kingdoms)?

The first seven are fairly easy to list.

  1. The United States of America
  2. China
  3. Russia
  4. United Kingdom
  5. France
  6. Germany
  7. Japan

These countries currently have advanced weapons, a strong military, developed economies.

Some have a network of former colonies and dependencies.

Some have elements of ALL the above.

It is numbers eight-ten that cause disagreements.

  • Australia?
  • Australia/New Zealand?
  • Canada?
  • Italy?
  • Brazil?
  • Turkey?
  • Iran?
  • Israel?
  • A country not thought of at the present time?

It is not hard to imagine that the THREE KINGS which get “uprooted” by the man of sin come from this second group.

OR, maybe two come from the second group and (surprise!) one king from the first group?  That possibility sounds more likely.

5- Many who are looking for a one-world government (even many of those who maintain that such a development is a fiction) are expecting a clean break: one week, there’s nations; the next week, there are only different parts of the one-world government.  Maybe some are looking forward to watching a made-for-TV movie about the worldwide change?

What if the TEN KINGS are, not only already in place, but HAVE BEEN IN PLACE FOR SOME TIME?

Like many who work for the dragon, they would act as if they were at each other’s throats EVEN AS THEY WERE COOPERATING.

Something not only to think about, but ALSO something to watch for.

As Jesus Christ Himself said,

“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”

DOES the reader believe that the one-world government is nothing more than just a “conspiracy theory“?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
