Preparing for the End Times

“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”
–Mark 13:37

Even though most do NOT believe God’s Word, a great many ARE aware that something is not right with the world.

They do not know WHAT it is that makes them uneasy, but they know all is not sweetness and light.

Some of that unaccounted-for uneasiness and anxiety comes from Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media).  The media’s best-selling products are fear, hatred, anxiety and doubt.

But not all of it can be attributed to the daily doses of media anxiety.

Even though most do not believe the Bible, many are familiar enough with bits and pieces of God’s Word, which have them anxiously looking over their shoulders as mankind approaches the climax of human history (the return of Jesus Christ).

Many will not be able to effectively prepare because so many are deceived and irrationally believe that “things will get better–they always do!

“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

A great many are deceived and have placed their hopes and faith for the future in government, man’s ingenuity and other schemes of man.

“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man. It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.”
–Psalm 40:8-9

“Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help.”
–Psalm 146:3

“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”
–Jeremiah 17:5

Still others–the preppers–have hoarded guns, freeze-dried food, gold and other trifles and have put their faith in their own survival skills.

“He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool”
–Proverbs 28:26

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.”
–Proverbs 3:5

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 14:12

Many of those who have placed their faith for their future survival in physical things–supplies stored, survival skills learned, underground shelters–are living proof that these physical goods do not produce a lasting peace of mind.  Such people always seem concerned they have forgotten something, want to make one more list of essentials “just to make sure” or voice concerns that others not as well prepared will take their stuff.

So clearly, storing physical goods is NOT the way to effectively prepare for the end times.

A large group of people–most of them church folk–have placed their faith in false teachers and preachers, who tell them fairy tales about what will happen in the end times.  Because the false ones smile and are so congenial, the church folk find it hard to believe that these friendly, seemingly well-meaning men would be deceivers.

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
–2TIMOTHY 3:13

” For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
–Acts 20:29-30

And so, a very large segment of the church folk follow after deceivers, buying their books, DVDs, CDs and other merchandise and becoming well-versed in their various fables. This dependence upon false information is NOT very effective preparation and the general  anxiousness about what’s ahead of the church folk supply a testimony to this.

Still others–without the resources to buy gold, guns or groceries–throw up their hands and basically declare, “I give up!  What can I do?”

How is it that one can EFFECTIVELY prepare for what’s coming upon the earth?

GOOD NEWS: there are a few things which are ULTRA-IMPORTANT and which anyone–no matter who they are or what condition their spirit is in–can do.

1 – Study God’s Word.

NOWHERE in the Bible does it tell the reader to READ the Bible.  The Bible instructs the reader to STUDY the Bible.

“Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.”
–2TIMOTHY 2:15

If one has the resources, buy a set of Bible CDs and listen to them. Doing so will build one’s faith–probably without even realizing it.

Faith is a key which will unlock MANY previously-shut doors.

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.”
–Romans 10:17

2- Seek God with all your heart and tell him you sincerely want to know Him.

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
–Matthew 7:7-8

This advice from Jesus Himself is one of the most effective ways to get in touch with God–something that most have NEVER done before.

Once one experiences the spiritual rebirth–born again–so much information–as well as doors and pathways–will be opened.

To one who has had nothing but the weak tea of the apostate churches, this will be a VERY POWERFUL, never-before-experienced encounter.

3- There are other things one can do to prepare oneself, but they do not affect as many areas of one’s life.

4- Becoming a believer and sincerely placing one’s trust for the future in Jesus Christ is the ultimate preparation. The uneasinesss and anxiety one felt before will suddenly dissipate, to be replaced by a very relaxed, peaceful tranquility.

MORE: Prepare for the End: Become a Believer!

These are four things anyone can do to prepare for the end times.

It is sad that so many will forego the opportunity to effectively prepare because of their unbelief.

No matter what preparation the reader may have been involved with before, IF he undertakes the four listed suggestions, he will have a hard time remembering all of the dead ends he previously tried.

DOES the reader have general feelings of uneasiness about the future?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
