TODAY’S FABLE: LISTEN TO THE FALSE TEACHERS!
“But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.”
–2PETER 2:1
There are a number of moderns who do NOT believe God’s Word.
However, there are a number of people–who even if they do NOT believe the Bible–act as though they believe it. There are a number of reasons they may behave this way.
- They may come from a family which traditionally quotes and reads the Bible.
- They may be church folk.
- They may have heard the Bible or biblical accounts when young and it tickled their fancy.
- They may find the Bible to be interesting in an intellectual way.
- They may find passages from the Bible soothing, peace-bringing or otherwise useful.
- They may think they have to act favorably to the Bible because of the social circle they inhabit.
There are many other reasons for someone to NOT believe God’s Word, yet not be openly hostile in public toward it.
This still-sizable segment of the population which is favorably predisposed to the Bible is the prime target of false teachers.
AND FALSE TEACHERS–and other who spread deceit–are seemingly EVERYWHERE in the end times.
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
–2TIMOTHY 3:13
Man is naturally curious about the future and end times man is no exception.
Man is naturally curious about the future–and these false teachers come equipped with dramatic stories and fables about the end times. Not only that, but they sound so CERTAIN about what they are saying!
By dangling made-up stories of the future in front of those who are interested in such things, these false ones first interest and then, entangle and snare men.
Some of these false ones use variations on fables which have been told for CENTURIES.
Some of these false ones manufacture their own fables to share.
Others–particularly modern false ones–turn to science fiction for their inspiration. These tell stories which not only are false, they appear to be very modern and up-to-date!

What can be done so that the reader may avoid such deceptions?
DO NOT listen to false teachers and preachers–even if they have their own TV shows OR YouTube channels OR shiny, new DVDs OR great artwork on their book covers or CD labels.
DO read God’s Word. It is the ONLY source of truth in the world.
Don’t believe that? Does the reader believe that God’s Word is NOT actually God’s Word? Does the reader believe that the Bible is just a book of stories written and told by men?
Then the reader may be deceived: read and study God’s Word and it will not be long before the reader’s outlook changes!
The reader will ALSO find that he begins to see through the falseness of the stories told by false teachers and preachers.
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
