Modern Man’s Self-Centered Universe

“This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind, Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart”
–Ephesians 4:17-18

Man has ALWAYS been a vain creature–and ALL of his concerns have to do with his own egocentric universe.

BUT modern man is an engineered marvel of vanity.

Engineered because seemingly every modern device–as well as every modern amusement–is dedicated to pandering to modern man’s vanity.

From the TV shows he watches to the daily words he reads, modern man is told that he is the center of the universe.

AND SO, modern man is told about the cars he once drove; the TV shows he once watched; the music to which he once listened.

These various disposable things modern man once enjoyed have been long gone for YEARS. But those no-longer-generally-used products are STILL important because modern man ONCE UPON A TIME considered them to be important–or rather, were TOLD by Satan’s Mouthpiece how important they were.

Yes, modern man is the apex of vanity.

The reader can know this is true.

Mainly, because modern man is ALWAYS at the center of his universe.

Whether it involves stories of modern man’s GREAT accomplishments.

OR, whether it involves stories of modern man’s supposed destruction: climate change, nuclear war, alien invasion, asteroids, whatever.

No matter if the story is good; no matter if the story is bad, modern man is ALWAYS the center of attention in his stories.

“Vanity of vanities, saith the Preacher, vanity of vanities; all is vanity.”
–Ecclesiastes 1:2

Has the reader ever noticed that, in modern man’s universe, the destruction of everything is engineered by modern man?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
