RANDOM THOUGHTS 10

[Taken from several recent discussions as well as emails, comments and the odd note–but mostly from the odd note.]

• How many of those looking to make an easy buck could have saved themselves YEARS of trouble and affliction by paying attention to Ecclesiastes 4:6.

“Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.”

How many (in Hollywood and Washington, especially), upon being offered wealth for their participation in a marriage of convenience, thought “Yeah, that’s quick and easy money!”

One of these days, man will learn that you can’t outsmart God and that God’s Word is true.

One of these days.

Until then, man will continue learning the same hard lessons over and over and over and over…

• While on the subject of the various flesh-pleasing siren songs the world seldom tires of singing: Satan has spent almost 2000 years PAINSTAKINGLY erecting a false reality.

This deceptive smog surrounds MOST of mankind and provides a backdrop for any number of other, daily deceptions which mislead man.  This false world is powered by stories which supposedly explain to man how he got here, why he is having such a hard time living his life and how to make that miserable life better.

It was a LITTLE thing for Satan to deceive man with repeated whispers that “You are God.  You are Jesus Christ.”  It was a MUCH smaller step for man to embrace those whispers and turn them into fist-pumping revolt and rebellion against the Creator.

As night follows day, the arrogance and pride of man allowed him to look at the deceptive reality erected to trap him and smugly proclaim, “Yes, I certainly did make something great and wondrous!”

The HUGE problem for man then became how does he escape the false reality which surrounds him?

For deceived man, there are NO easy answers.

Particularly because deceived man is deceived.

• OF COURSE, those who sit above the deceptions they have helped create for the REST of humanity suppose themselves to be in the position of God.

The end times will demonstrate how mistaken that belief is.

And will demonstrate it BEYOND any argument.

• And while on the subject of the pretend relationships which deceive man, will man–at some time in the future (a future MUCH different than what most believe)–proclaim the times we now live in as the “Golden Age of False Marriage”?

Even now, many “old-timers” celebrate the years they have remained together RATHER than what benefits their union bestowed upon them.

• The world tells hundreds–THOUSANDS!–of stories about how the world works and HOW WE GOT TO WHERE WE ARE NOW.

The public clings to these fairy tales so tightly because the world REWARDS all those who buy into its fables.  Whether it is the schoolchild who gets good grades for being able to recite the stories of the world OR the stay-at-home mother who swallows–and later spits back to any who will listen–those worldly stories because she wants to be known among her acquaintances as “in the know“, the world REWARDS those who believe the falsehoods which they are told.

• One of those stories which the world has told–and which MOST of mankind believes–is the one about how man used to live in caves and was little better than an animal with an opposable thumb.

SO, did Adam and Eve live in a cave?

• Modern man does NOT know what happened in the past. Modern man ONLY knows what he has been TOLD has happened in the past.

So why is so much time and effort spent on supplying man with a fake history of what has occurred?

• Modern man supposes he knows how the world works–particularly EDUCATED modern man.  BUT, modern man only knows what he has been told about how the world works.

This creates a LOT of confusion when the stories the world tells disagree with what modern man can see happening around him every day.

This confusion is MOSTLY handled by the world telling modern man, “Hey!  Listen to me!  Who are you gonna listen to: me (who brought you here where you are today) or God’s Word (which its few adherents will attest have GREATLY improved their lives)?

AND SO, moderns continue to be lied to.

Moderns continue to live their lives according to those lies.

Moderns continue to protest VEHEMENTLY against ANY who would attempt to tell them differently.

• During the end times, there has been MUCH confusion about what is in God’s Word.

MOST of that confusion has been carefully planned by the prince of this world and his followers, who deal in confusion.

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
