“Woe unto you that desire the day of the LORD! to what end is it for you? the day of the LORD is darkness, and not light.”
–Amos 5:18
Although ANYONE with even the slightest understanding of God’s Word knows the end times will be a time of destruction and chaos–and HARD TIMES–most do not understand that the end times will be a rocky road for EVERYONE–just difficult for different people at different times.
The beginning of the last days will see the wicked enjoying themselves (mostly) because the man of sin will be running things and will be looking to reward those who have served him–and his organization–over the years.
During the BEGINNING of the man of sin’s worldwide control, followers of Jesus Christ will be hunted like animals. IF caught–and many will be–they will be killed.
“And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time [three and one-half years].”
“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
–Revelation 13:7
“And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people. And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.”
–Daniel 8:24-25
“And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
–Revelation 13:15
“And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them. “
–Revelation 14:13
Those who follow after the man of sin–including all of those who initially thought, “I’ll wait and see,”–will believe that they have chosen the winning team: ALL who dwell on the earth will be worshiping Satan, the beast which rules over the earth and Satan’s man of sin.
“And they worshipped the dragon [Satan] which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8
SO, Satan’s forces look like they are winning for the first part of the 42-month period that the man of sin is in control. The followers of Jesus Christ will be on the run for their lives.
It will certainly be a rocky road for the followers of Jesus Christ.
BUT THEN, the wheels begin to come off of the man of sin’s carefully-constructed wagon.
God’s judgments begin to fall on those who believe they have won the day (the forces of Satan).
“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
–Revelation 14:9-11
And when Jesus Christ Himself returns?
It’s all over for the bad guys.
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
“And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse [Jesus], and against his army.
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.”
–Revelation 19:11-15,19-21
Even though the end times are a rocky road for ALL, some have it easier at the beginning of the last days; some have it much harder.
But then, those positions will be reversed.
Those who have it the hardest will see the triumph of all they believe. After walking by faith for years, believers will see with their eyes all of the Word of God come to fruition–including the part where God holds all those who oppose Him in derision.
“He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.”
–Psalm 2:4-5
Which might be where the popular saying came from: “He who laughs last, laughs best.”
DOES the reader believe he will ever see the end times?
DOES the reader even believe in the end times?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
