One paradox of the end times (or any time filled with great change, chaos and/or uncertainty).

Those who spend the most time physically preparing themselves for what they believe is to happen seem to be CONTINUALLY startled by events unforeseen and therefore, considered in their plans.

So, there is much that the person who puts their trust in the things of the world and the schemes of man does not think of, apparently.

This demonstrates that MANY are not believers of God’s Word: instead of trusting God, they trust themselves and their stash.

This was illustrated over the past week by the LARGE number of emails received from (what appeared to be) GENUINELY startled folks who were surprised and overtaken by events recently and just want to warn others “Be careful out there!”

Some are obviously trying to make a buck: selling books and other information which are hawked using the lines, “Don’t be like me! Don’t ignore so-and-so-and-so! This information is priceless!”

But the BIG takeaway from this week’s email barrage was:

There appear to be a LOT of startled folks nowadays.

Some of them seem to be so startled, that it impressed them to make videos, promotional pamphlets or products (and to send out emails about them!) in order to prevent others from experiencing the heartbreak of being startled by events unlooked for.

CONSTITUTIONAL CONVENTION

All this talk about a constitutional convention furthers the deception that Americans have this magic piece of paper which protects their “rights.”

State-led push to force constitutional convention gains steam, with high-profile Republican support – The siren’s song of the constitutional convention will continue to be sung in the media as a cure-all for what ails the US of A.

A constitutional convention is portrayed as a method for “real Americans” to take control of their country and get it back on track. However, once convened, a constitutional convention can change the constitution ANY WAY it sees fit.

ANY WAY.

ANY way.

Of course, the constitution will be changed and important safeguards will be removed, but rest assured: it will be totally unintentional. And naturally the politicians and celebrities who show up at such a gathering will have incredibly good reasons for doing the things they do.

Which brings up a few questions:

Why do Americans believe that the same people who got them into today’s situation won’t be the same people who will be at the constitutional convention?

IF totally different people would be sent, why not elect THOSE people today and change things?

However, when the time is right, one suspects the constitutional convention will be held, where the proper changes already ordained will be made.

Which is one reason media, government, politics and entertainment are working together to convince Americans that their system no longer works.

The truth?

No system is any better than the people who administer it.

IF the reader believes–in spite of all that is going on around him–that the government is shackled in ANY way by the US constitution, the reader is woefully deceived.

TODAY’S “FEUDS”

Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right?

And really: what is more exciting than manufactured drama?

And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?

Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.

What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?

Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”

One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.

Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”

Oh–and pro wrestling…

One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.

Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.

Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

FAMILIAR SPIRITS = WEAK TEA

“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD”
Deuteronomy 18:10-12

Deuteronomy 18:10-12 is VERY clear that man is to steer away from familiar spirits in ANY capacity or form.

And those verses read almost like a legal document which crosses the ‘t’s and dots its ‘i’s: it not only proscribes accessing familiar (demonic) spirits, it lists many of the forms such contact might take.

Witchcraft.

Sorcery.

Wizardry (yes, and this means Harry Potter and pals).

Enchanter (someone who uses a combination of the above).

Divination (using any number of gadgets in order to “tell the future“: crystal balls, bumps on the head, tea leaves, etc.) It also includes gaining information via illegitimate supernatural means, used to find water or oil or gold or silver or old coins or…

Charmer (someone who seemingly controls animals via vibrations (worms); flutes and music (snakes); and any number of other animals who are “charmed” by the charmer.

Observer of times (someone who claims to tell the future using stars or other birth information).

Necromancer (someone who claims to receive knowledge by talking to the dead).

And to make sure all of the bases are covered, Deuteronomy 18:10-12 also includes “a consulter with familiar spirits” clause–which pretty well covers any activity which might have been left out in the roll call of SPECIFIC offenders with familiar spirits.

Familiar spirits are a judgment from God against those who do not obey his VERY clear command on this point.

HOWEVER, convincing someone who has made contact with a familiar spirit that they have a judgment from God following them around–instead of a GREAT TREASURE–is a tough sell.

These poor, deceived souls believe that many of the bad things which happens in their lives (and a LOT of ‘unfortunate’ occurrences happen during their walk through life) are caused by something–ANYTHING!–other than their GREAT TREASURE.

All the judged one sees is the trinkets, parlor tricks and other trivial pursuits offered by the familiar spirit to which other men lack access.

How tragic then, that the familiar spirit is the weak tea of supernatural power.

There are angels which are very much stronger.

There is Satan, who (though the devil utilizes certain demonic power in the last days) is undoubtedly more clever–and therefore–stronger.

And there is God, God’s Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ who are infinitely more powerful.

And God is NOT shy about declaring His unmatched power in His Word.

“Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.”

“See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god with me: I kill, and I make alive; I wound, and I heal: neither is there any that can deliver out of my hand.”

So, then: the man who consults with a familiar spirit because he can NOT ONLY is running afoul of God’s commands and bring a severe judgment upon his head, he is accessing a very WEAK form of supernatural power to boot.

COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from what he has always been led to believe.

But such men have NO experience with God’s great supernatural power, and so are easily impressed by what a familiar spirit might do.

Make no mistake: familiar spirits are more powerful than unrepentant man.

BUT, when the chips are down, the familiar spirit is very much a weak sister when it comes to dealing with a usual foe–unless that opponent is an unrepentant man (which make up the vast majority of humanity).

VIDEO) Are you a trader? – An example of a video that many Christians will no doubt think is wonderful.

Initially, this writer thought “Ah, what a wonderful Christian message to share!”

But is it?

Or does it contain subtle anti-Christian messages sprinkled throughout its 2 minute presentation?

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits, whether they are of God; because many false prophets have gone out into the world.”

The first thing that caused one to take heed was where the video was first seen.

Is the Corporate Media a promoter of Jesus Christ?

Or is it a deceiver?

The second thing was the video’s use of “Christ.” That can be a tip-off, though the video did throw “Jesus” into the mix a couple of times. In the times in which we live, Christians will frequently hear “Christ” being used by the world, “Jesus” much less and “Jesus Christ” almost never.

The New Age and the occult speak of a coming Christ. They also speak of Jesus being one of the “Ascended Masters” though a lesser one. But Jesus Christ? No way: the Christ is yet to come. Jesus was not the Christ.

The next alert was a phrase used at the 1:40 mark.

“The trader sees Work as Worship.”

This brought back memories of conversations this writer had 35 years ago with a good friend who used that phrase quite a lot “My work is my worship.” The friend practiced an Eastern religion and worshiped idols. At the time, the phrase always sounded thoughtful and good. It wasn’t until this writer became a Christian that he checked out what the Bible had to say on the subject.

“Their land is also full of idols; They worship the work of their own hands, That which their own fingers have made.”
—Isaiah 2:8

“Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands.”
—Micah 5:13

Not exactly what this writer was looking for, but close enough. The Bible has much to say about worship. Nowhere does it state that work is worship.

Lastly, did the video present the good news of Jesus Christ?

Or was there a slickly-packaged gospel of good works? The organization responsible for the video and other similar ones: rightnow.org.

Christians are being bombarded with other gospels–and these other gospels don’t sound bad. They are supposed to sound good.

“And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.”
—Matthew 24:11

In the times in which we live, there are no champions on TV or in mass media or in the movies.

The only champions are the ones found in the Bible–and those who try to live by those words without listening to the false prophets sent by the enemy to deceive believers.

ONE YEAR AGO

SATAN IS A LIAR–BUT HE IS A CLEVER LIAR

“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9

“Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me. Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
–John 8:42,44

Satan is a liar.

In fact, Satan–the devil–is a NOTORIOUS liar.

Satan is also VERY clever.

Many times it has been said: Satan is a tricky fellow.

As is demonstrated time and again by foolish, wicked men, Satan will not necessarily give a man what that man WANTS and DESIRES, but what that man has ASKED for.

One can easily imagine the following conversation taking place between an actor who hungered to be FAMOUS and Satan.

“I want to be famous!”

“Sure, sure. Whatever you want.”

“I want people to talk about me. I want to be famous!”

“So, do we have a deal?”

“IF I become famous, we do. I want people to know who I am. Is that going to happen?”

“People who do not know you now will know you after this deal goes down. You will be known and you will be talked about. I can promise you that you will DEFINITELY be known.”

“Great! Okay then–long as I become famous!”

“You will achieve a lasting fame that will follow you around the rest of your life.”

“That’s what I want. It’s a deal!”

And so, shortly thereafter, the headlines attested to the fact that the devil did indeed assist that young fellow in achieving a sort of lasting fame which will likely follow the young actor the rest of his life. Of course, it was NOT the type of fame the actor had in mind when he made his deal with the devil.

The young fellow committed a crime which he felt certain would add to his status and fame. BUT it did not. It only made him–once he was caught–into a criminal.

A WELL-KNOWN criminal (all of the newspapers had his actions on page one), but his fame stemmed from his crime, NOT his acting.

And his “fame” was actually “infamy“–particularly when the young actor had to quit acting because of the notoriety which followed him after he committed his crime.

Sadly, the young man did NOT get what he most desired: fame from his acting abilities.

BUT, he did achieve infamy from his crime.

So, the young man got what he had ASKED FOR, not what he desired.

Satan knew all of this.

Or at least the devil–having dealt with humans for thousands of years–strongly suspected it.

Satan could have told the young man the truth: that fame is fleeting and will NOT last.

But the devil was more interested in completing a transaction with the young man.

BEWARE: Satan is a tricky fellow.

THREE YEARS AGO

AMERICA: THE GRANDEST CREATOR OF FANTASTIC STORIES–EVER!

As Ground Zero for deception and propaganda, America is naturally the home of the fantastic, barely-believable story.

This is evidenced by the number of fictional stories turned out by Hollywood; by the educational systems; by science; by politics and government; by the publishing industry; by the churches; by the medical/pharmaceutical professions; by the Corporate Media.

America is the source of an almost-unstoppable tsunami of tall tales, fables and other stories.

And those stories are delivered in a truly mind-numbing number of ways: government pamphlets, movies, video games, commercials, comedy shows, comic books, sitcoms and other TV programming, textbooks, “news” offerings, sports and nearly every other arena which offers information to more than a few people (including crossword puzzles and comic strips).

There are so many stories being told–and those stories change so frequently now–that it is a wonder that God’s Word (the Bible) is still available to the masses.
