“Why Zombies Are Everywhere Now”

Though it has slowed a bit, not long ago, everywhere one looked in the popular culture, one saw the shuffling imprint of the zombie.
The zombies–or, The Walking Dead, as some called them–were even the subject of a Center for Disease Control pamphlet–and later, a WHOLE CDC campaign.
And the CDC was not the only tax-supported, government agency to promote zombies. MANY urban areas spent money to promote Zombie Walks and other similar events.
[And FOR YEARS before the zombie, vampires were Pop Culture’s preferred Undead flavor.]
So, what’s up with all of the focusing of attention on the zombie–a fictional creature if ever there was one?
One guess is that with all of the media attention concentrated on zombies, there is very little attention paid to the actual walking dead: all of the people who are spiritually dead, yet walking around every day living their lives.
By putting zombies EVERYWHERE is popular culture–and in government-sanctioned events–the public was being inoculated against the awareness that the REAL walking dead were EVERY DAY shuffling around to work and school and back UNNOTICED.
The real “walking dead” were the target of all of the zombie chatter.
So, IF the topic EVER came up, the real undead could point to the fake undead of the movies and pop culture and shout, “Hey! I’m nothing like those guys!”

WAS the reader aware–when it was taking place–of being smothered by all things ZOMBIE?
WHAT did the reader think about that–if the reader had ANY thoughts on the matter at all?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
