The Proper Reaction to Unheeded Warnings?

Sometimes, one arrives in the middle of a discussion before one ever thinks, “How did I get here?” OR “How did this even start?” OR “How did we get on this line of conversation?”

From past experiences, it seems that these types of discussions occur whenever thoughts and words meander here and there, touching on this-and-that, before settling–for a short while or longer–on something with which everyone in the conversation gets involved.

And so it was that a past discussion about warning the deceived was entered into before one realized it.

“You’re always trying to warn people about the end times.  But I’m pretty sure most of them don’t pay any attention to what you’re saying.”

“I would have to say that’s a fair way to describe it.”

“But I hardly ever see you upset.  Doesn’t it make you mad when people ignore what you’re saying?  Don’t you get frustrated?”

“I’m not sure ‘angry’ is the proper reaction to all those who ignore what I’m saying.  It might have been when I was a heathen, but I remember when I was in there shoes: I believed the same things most of them believe right now. I mean, I taught science for awhile!  And now look: I KNOW science is just a bunch of stories.”

“But it’s got to be infuriating. You’re trying to warn them.  They ignore you.  Doesn’t that upset you some? I know that would make ME mad!”

It was at about this point that “How did we get on this line of conversation?” popped into one’s head. BUT, after dwelling on it for a VERY short time, the following little story was told (as memory best serves):

“Let’s say you’re walking in the woods and you come to a river you’re somewhat familiar with.  But something is different.  You look and you discover the bridge has a gaping hole in it!  The bridge is out!  You run up the road and try to warn drivers who are headed that way.  NOW, not only do most of the drivers NOT believe you when you tell them the bridge is out, they make fun of you or question your mental state.

“Most continue to drive down the road, convinced that the bridge is not really out; after all, it’s a state bridge.  The state wouldn’t let their bridge fall down, would they?  When you get to the river, you see hunks of twisted metal which USED to be cars on the stones by the water.  Who can be mad at that?  What’s the proper reaction?  Sadness or pointing the finger at yourself that you weren’t able to do a better job of warning them so that they believed you.

“Besides, they are VERY deceived.  God’s Word tells the reader that end times man is VERY deceived.”

“That’s where I’m at.”

The reply was somewhat surprising.

“You know, you’re a real pistol sometimes.  And sometimes, you’re just a complete idiot.”

Later, some thought was put into how such an odd conversation got started.  But no decision was reached: the memories were too faulty, the time too far in the past.

But also later–LONG after that conversation was just a memory–it was decided that–regardless of HOW the discussion began-that story was the PROPER way to explain the believer’s proper reaction to unheeded warnings.

The believer is COMMANDED to warn others of the approaching dangers.  DOES the reader believe such unsettling talk?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

Where Is Life Taking You?

“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

During the past week or so, two different questions were stumbled upon which BOTH pointed in the same direction.

“Is life taking you nowhere?”

“Why is it “where are you headed” and not “where are you heading”?”

Can the reader speculate as to why the two questions were BOTH essentially pointing in the same direction?

Time’s up.

BOTH questions basically asked readers to evaluate their life.

And how is it that MOST readers will evaluate their lives ALL  in the same manner?

MOST readers will evaluate how well their life is proceeding according to the guidelines set by the world: a world which will not always be in the same configuration the reader finds it in today.

Those who focus on the world usually evaluate their life’s progress according to how they stack up in the ‘things of the world’ category.

Nice home.

Nice car.

Good job.

Nice things.

Nice clothes.

“And he [Jesus] said unto his disciples, Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat; neither for the body, what ye shall put on. The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment [clothes].
–Luke 12:22-23

The questions these folks usually end up asking themselves at some point is “Am I comfortable with where I am?”–and the answer to that question usually revolves around that person’s access to the things of the world.

“…know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
–James 4:4

So, the thrust of both of those earlier questions was to get the hearer to render how his life was going–which is USUALLY based on how well one is doing in the Things-of-the-World Dept.

The evaluation of one’s life is completely different for a follower of Jesus.

The real Christian KNOWS that this world is FLEETING: it is here and gone in the twinkling of an eye.

Sixty, seventy, eighty, ninety–even one hundred years–is a VERY short time to all EXCEPT man.

This life is merely a test to see where one gets to spend the rest of eternity.

NOW, for the REAL questions behind this entire topic:

“How will the reader answer those questions?”

Does the reader use the yardstick of the world OR is the reader MORE concerned about his eternal welfare?

“How does the reader evaluate his life?”

HAS the reader arrived at an answer to those previous questions?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

Outer Space Salvation?

OUTER SPACE.

One hears quite a LOT about this place that those who write such things have NEVER visited.

One constant running through all of the many, many, MANY tall tales about outer space which are offered DAILY in the Corporate Media (Satan’s Mouthpiece) is the siren song of outer space (or somewhere which supposedly occupies a spot in outer space) serving as a place of ESCAPE and salvation for the hard-pressed population of Earth to run to in times of disaster.

Meanwhile, tidal wave of excuses pour forth DAILY for man not having bumped into ANY of the MANY ETs which apparently are eagerly awaiting our contact.

But the reader needn’t concern himself.

Jesus warned of the many deceptions which would surround man in the end times before His return.

” And as he sat upon the mount of Olives over against the temple, Peter and James and John and Andrew asked him privately, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign when all these things shall be fulfilled? And Jesus answering them began to say, Take heed lest any man deceive you”
–Mark 13:3-5

Those deceptions which involve man being told and “shown” space aliens most likely are some of the primary deceptions of the last days.  After all, those who imagine they control the earth haven’t spent the past 100 years or so priming the “outer-space-alien-UFO-ET” pump for nothing.

“Some one remarked that the best way to unite all the nations on this globe would be an attack from some other planet. In the face of such an alien enemy, people would respond with a sense of their unity of interest and purpose.”

Dewey has been called (by the Corporate Media) the “Father of Modern
Education.”  Make that “the father of modern Luciferian education.”

[Seventy years later, U.S. PRESIDENT Ronald Reagan echoed Dewey’s earlier musing to Soviet leader, Mikhail Gorbachev.

“I’ve often wondered, what if all of us in the world discovered that we were threatened by an outer — a power from outer space, from another planet. Wouldn’t we all of a sudden find that we didn’t have any differences between us at all, we were all human beings, citizens of the world, and wouldn’t we come together to fight that particular threat? “

Though it seems to be a STRANGE thing to say to another world leader, Reagan repeated the thought a few months later at the United Nations.

“I occasionally think how quickly our differences worldwide would vanish if we were facing an alien threat from outside this world.”

So, while the steady drumbeat of media stories which promote the idea that the earth is little more than man’s old, used-up playground GROWS LOUDER by the day, those who imagine they control the earth offer the panacea of outer space.

“It’s good for what ails you!”

After all, there’s no coronavirus pandemic on Mars.

There’s no climate change on the moon.

There’s no war or poverty or intolerance on any of the exoplanets.

So, what’s stopping mankind from loading up the next space cruiser and heading out to Mars?

Never mind those place in ‘outer space’ do NOT exist–EXCEPT in the fevered imaginations of the writers of Corporate Media.

In addition, the fact that man carries his sin–and its resulting troubles–with him.

One is occasionally reminded of the ending of a Twilight Zone episode entitled, To Serve Man.

In that story, space was ALSO offered up as a place of salvation to earthlings: so they could ‘escape’ earth by running away to ‘outer space.’

BUT, there was NO escape.

At the end, a woman is trying to stop her co-worker from boarding a ship to another planet which supposedly offered sanctuary from the troubles on Earth.

“Mr. Chambers, don’t get on that ship! The rest of the book, To Serve Man, it’s… it’s a cookbook!”

Yet, FEW there will be who will take the vastly superior offer of a REAL savior: Jesus Christ, who offers a REAL place of salvation and escape from the woes of the world.

“In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through him.”
–1JOHN 4:9

There is ONLY one real salvation–and it has NOTHING to do with the fictional place popularly called ‘outer space.’

DOES the reader see Mars or the moon or outer space as somewhere we can all go if things get too bad down here on earth?
