“But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”–Luke 12:45-46
One of the KEY differences between the servants of God and those who POSE as such: the TRUE servants of God are KEENLY aware of the times in which we now live.
IN FACT, one could say those who serve God are MINDFUL OF THE TIMES.
Oh, the servant of God and the clever counterfeit may BOTH see the same signs of the times approaching. But whereas the servant of God is MINDFUL of these signs and is watching for them, the clever counterfeit dismisses those signs as “No big deal: it’s something that has always happened.”
This is one sure way to tell the believers from the non-believers: those who believe are mindful of the times. While those who talk the talk may LOOK and/or SOUND authentic, they are deceived about the times.
“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”–2CORINTHIANS 11:13-15
The TRUE follower of Jesus Christ KNOWS that the last days are difficult for the followers of Jesus.
“…and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time…”–Daniel 12:1
“Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name’s sake.”–Matthew 24:9
And while the last days will prove difficult for God’s People, God will NOT leave or forsake them.
“Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.”–Hebrews 13:5
The knowledge of God’s steadfastness for those who follow Him provides the believer with comfort during those dark days.
YET, the afflictions of the last days are PROOF: proof that God’s Word is true; PROOF of the times in which we live; PROOF that the Christian does NOT believe in vain.
“Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.”–1PETER 4:16
Those who serve God and His Son, Jesus Christ, are MINDFUL OF THE TIMES.
“And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.”–Mark 13:37
IS the reader watching for end times events as foretold in the Bible?
DOES the reader have any idea what he might do when he SEES events happening which are declared in God’s Word?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
