While poring over the morning’s ‘news,’ a thought suddenly occurred.
“I want to live in the world which exists in the pages of the news media!”
IN the make-believe MediaWorld, there are not only PLENTY of good-paying jobs, there are so many good-paying jobs, there are not enough qualified people to work them!
These jobs–and the poor companies which offer them–MIGHT have enough Americans to fill them IF Americans hadn’t all turned into no-good, lazy bums who would rather sit at home and collect VERY GENEROUS unemployment checks from VERY GENEROUS Uncle Sugar.
There are NO Americans looking for work in MediaWorld: Americans instead are sitting around the dinner table, blowing their noses on the tablecloth and counting the minutes until the NEXT ExtraSpecialBonusMoneyBombofaGovernmentCheck hits their mailbox and they can live up on the taxpayers’ dime!

IN the make-believe MediaWorld, prices do NOT go up: that would be INFLATION–and inflation is something that only takes place in the FUTURE!
IN FACT, inflation is probably just a conspiracy theory!
In the present-day America, prices are amazingly STABLE and gasoline is still 22 cents a gallon!
And the government/media provides all the statistics and charts one might need in order to PROVE that the economy is not only humming along, IT IS BOOMING!

In MediaWorld, coronavirus is only a TEMPORARY blip on life’s radar screen!
The masks, the social distancing, the incessant hand-washing, the onerous rules and regulations concerning COVID-19?
In MediaWorld, those will be gone by tomorrow–they are already probably gone–and EVERY DAY after tomorrow will be a RETURN TO NORMAL–and it will probably be the normal that the reader has remembered from before!

In MediaWorld, IF ONLY everyone would go get vaccinated for coronavirus, we could all live in peace and harmony, with only faint memories of that very inconvenient time when COVID-19 regulations ruled the roost.
In MediaWorld, IF ONLY everyone would go get TWO shots, we could all FORGET about that nasty coronavirus and all of the necessary commands those in charge have been forced to make to KEEP US ALL SAFE!

So, does the reader live in that world which is daily promised and promoted by the media?
OR, does the reader live in a world which really exists?

HAS the reader noticed any differences between the world he inhabits and the world he reads about in the news or sees on TV newscasts?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
