In the Email: The World and the Messiah

IN the day’s many, MANY emails, one in particular stood out this past week.

The subject title of the email was “The World Needs a Messiah.”

Of course, the sender of the mail would INSIST that “Messiah” referred to “Jesus Christ.”

BUT, the times being what they are, why not just refer to Jesus as “Jesus” or “Jesus Christ“?

A few years back, the president of the USA, Barack Obama, declared that ‘You cannot sit back and wait for a savior.’

We don’t need a messiah.

All we need are decent, honest, hardworking people who are accountable and who have America’s best interests at heart.

God’s Word tells us that after God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, as a ransom for man’s sin (to save man), the world REJECTED Jesus–BUT the world will LATER accept a counterfeit.

“I am come in my Father’s name, and ye receive me not: if another shall come in his own name, him ye will receive.”

–John 5:43

THE WORLD–and those who dwell in the world–will be forced to pay a HEAVY penalty when an end times counterfeit shows up and God’s wrath is poured out upon the world and those who dwell upon it.

“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.”

–Revelation 16:1

BUT the world is horribly deceived–and deception carries its own reward.

The world was given a Messiah in Jesus Christ.

The world basically rejected the Messiah and will follow after a false prophet during the last days.

BUT, God’s Word declares as much: Jesus is hated by the world.

And NOT ONLY is Jesus hated, but the FOLLOWERS of Jesus as well.

As Jesus Himself once said,

“And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.”

–Matthew 10:22

These being the end times, the reader should BEWARE any calls for a Messiah.

HOWEVER, the Jesus-rejecting world is STILL searching for answers; STILL searching for solutions to ‘problems’; STILL searching for an easy way out: STILL searching for a Messiah.

AND, the Jesus-refecting world WILL find their man, whom God’s Word calls the “false prophet.”

“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”

–Revelation 19:20

WHAT does the reader think of this talk of a “Messiah“?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

A Question of WHY?

Why?

“When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.”

The regular reader KNOWS when he sees (or hears) the word “WHY,” it USUALLY means a tale is about to be told; a story is about to be unveiled; a yarn is ready to begin.

HOWEVER, very, VERY occasionally, “Why?” will ask a legitimate question–though that question ALWAYS involves the (perhaps, informed; perhaps, not) opinion of the writer.

In the times in which we live (which many believe to be the end times–or even, last days), a number of legitimate questions might be asked about the happenings reported in the ‘news’ media–some of which are reported DAILY–which begin with the questioning “Why?“

The reader is NOT expected to answer the following questions–though he may take a stab at them. 

BUT, these questions ought to prompt the reader to take a closer look at the information–much of it labelled “news”–he is being fed (DAILY in most cases) and to try and determine if what he is being told is truthful.

What follows are a few of those questions.

+ The media, over the past week or so, has been replete with stories HINTING or SUGGESTING the coronavirus escaped from a research lab in Wuhan, China.

IF this is true, then WHY doesn’t the lab have some further information on the disease they supposedly were studying?

IF this is NOT true, then WHY doesn’t the media–and the scientists which supply the media with its quotes–just shut up?

+ The climate wonks have increased the severity of their climate change predictions (It doesn’t seem possible, but they have.)

WHY now?

+ On the topic of climate change, a question which needs to be asked:

WHY do the same folks associated with climate change get to propose the ‘solutions’?

Oh, their fingerprints might not be on the murder weapon, but their associates, friends, business contacts and informational sources are.

+ WHY are the same people so sure about the weather 100 years from now when those same people CANNOT predict the weather accurately in Peoria tomorrow?

+ WHY has the reporting on the problems the world is supposedly suffering become so sensationalistic NOW?

+ From the very beginning (over a year ago), the ‘experts’ have CONSTANTLY offered a number of CHANGING STORIES to the public on COVID-19/coronavirus.

WHY have the coronastories kept changing?

WHY don’t the ‘experts’ stick with a story more than a week?

+ WHY are so many of the ‘wars’ so low-key or so short in duration?

Has man lost his appetite for killing and war?

+ WHY do almost ALL of the SCIENCE! stories NOW have to do with outer space?

+ HOW does radio–which suffers a great many setbacks on earth–work in outer space?

HOW is SCIENCE beaming back all of the pictures and videos –supposedly from other planets and asteroids–through the millions of miles of nothingness that is outer space?

These questions are a start.

There will be more.

God willing.

MORE: Why?

DOES the reader often have questions that seemingly have no good answers?
WHY does the reader think this is?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

RANDOM THOUGHTS #12

A number of odds and ends, which have accumulated since the last Random Thoughts (a bit over two months ago). 

Most of these came in the e-mail and some other items were turned up during that tedious BUT necessary work we call “research.”

+ An email asking “Question: Why should Christians care about the Middle East in general, and specifically about Israel?”

+ A persuasive letter urging the purchase of a product used in chelation therapy for everyday use to make one healthier and live a more fulfilled life! 

The e-mail stressed the SAFETY of this product (“so safe, it’s used on BABIES“), though further research begged to differ.

Chelation therapy must be administered with care as it has a number of possible side effects, including death. In response to increasing use of chelation therapy as alternative medicine and in circumstances in which the therapy should not be used in conventional medicine, various health organizations have confirmed that medical evidence does not support the effectiveness of chelation therapy for any purpose other than the treatment of heavy metal poisoning.
