The Church Folk: Clarifications

Jesus-church folk

“For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
–Acts 20:29-30

As we have published MANY disparaging–BUT TRUE–words about the churches and the church folk, it was thought that a few clarifications MIGHT be in order for those who do not consider thinking for themselves.

1- MANY of the church folk are NOT dyed-in-the-wool workers of iniquity.

Some are–particularly those who CONTROL and RUN the churches.

And those who contentedly FOLLOW along behind such leaders.

And those who delegate their spiritual welfare to ravening wolves.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.”
–Matthew 7:15

MOST of the church people are DECEIVED–rather than active workers of inquity.

Which is a HUGE problem–especially when a very large majority of the deceived do not particularly care if they are being misled.

After all, they are VERY BUSY living this BUSY life.

But deception becomes a MUCH larger problem the moment this life is over and a person’s eternity begins.

THEN, a person will have to answer for ALL of his actions–even the ones he performed WHILE he was deceived.

2- A person–particularly a church person–can KNOW that deception in the churches is a HUGE problem IF that person believes God’s Word.

Jesus Himself gave several accounts of the what the church folk will say and do at their judgment.

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
–Matthew 7:21-22

Obviously, this passage is SPECIFICALLY addressed to those poor, deceived souls congregating in Satan’s churches who have “Jesus” on their lips.

The WORLD will NOT ‘prophesy in [Jesus’] name.

The WORLD will NOT ‘cast out devils’ in Jesus’ name.

THE WORLD would NOT do “many wonderful works’ in Jesus’ name.

THE WORLD will not do ANYTHING in Jesus’ name.

BUT, the CHURCH FOLK would–and do.

And believe the whole time they are doing those works(which even the WORLD seems to agree are worthy ones), they are serving God as He commands.

These poor, confused souls will arrive at their judgment feeling pretty good about where they will spend eternity.

So, it will be like the SHOCK of having ice water poured on them to find out that where eternity will be spent is TOTALLY and COMPLETELY different than what that church-goer had envisioned.

No wonder they cry out, “LORD LORD.”

MORE: LORD, LORD: Who is Crying Lord, Lord?

3- All that being said, HOW MANY of the present-day church folk CARE ENOUGH about their eternal destinations that they might CAREFULLY examine their churches IN RELATIONSHIP TO WHAT GOD’S WORD COMMANDS.

The path one walks becomes VERY important once one no longer is living.

OF COURSE, if one is no longer living, it has become TOO LATE for that person to alter their judgment for walking that path.

“Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
–Matthew 15:14

The deceived do not mind walking that wide way to destruction, as long as it’s comfortable.

So, IF one’s path is to change, then it has to be done in this life–preferably today.

“for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat”
–Matthew 7:13

4- It’s not like most of the church folk are sitting around plotting to eat children or some other EVIL activity THAT THEY AND THEIR FRIENDS ALL RECOGNIZE AS EVIL.

BUT, specifically, what ARE the church folk doing to further the kingdom of heaven in these last days?

Where is the focus of the church folk: one the world or on Jesus?

5- One of the natural defenses those who regularly congregate in the buildings Satan has so conveniently provided is their Shield of Indignation.

Why, if someone questions their church or their place in that church, most of the church folk will achieve a VERY high state of indignation.

INDIGNATION is ANGER–and most of the church folk are very accomplished at getting angry.

6- Getting angry when someone questions their church or their place in that church reveals that many church-goers take pride (a sin!) in belonging to a particular church.

It is NOT about whether that church prepares the church-goer for eternity.

It appears to be MORE about appearances and what others in their church will say.

7- The deceived sometimes care that what their church leaders say does NOT agree with what God’s Word commands.

BUT, it appears that the deceived do NOT care enough to examine why this might be.

The church folk rarely want to risk displeasing the local satanic agent and the smile disappearing from the face of their local pulpit wolf.

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”

–2CORINTHIANS 11:13-15

These are a FEW clarifications on why the church folk are at such a risk.

The church folk, as a whole, are NOT irredeemably wicked: the church folk, as a whole, are DECEIVED.

And while deception is not an easy spiritual condition to overcome, with God’s neverending mercy, overcoming deception has been regularly accomplished.

Again, these are a few clarification as to why the church folk are in such danger.

More clarifications may be coming.

God willing.

DOES the reader believe that if he goes to church, he is a Christian and is eternally saved?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
