Riding the End Times Roller Coaster To Hell

When one enters a modern-day amusement park, one of the most heavily-advertised and promoted rides is the roller coaster.

Many times, the roller coaster ride is promoted with the words “Thrills, Chills and Spills.”

IN FACT, the seeker-of-adventure is greeted by those very words at MANY amusement parks.

Man finds in enjoyment in being scared, hence the popularity of horror films and amusement park rides which get bigger, faster and more scary.  But man only finds enjoyment in being scared IF THE SCARINESS IS CONTROLLED.

IF what scares man descends into the UNCONTROLLED, then it is CHAOS and ANARCHY–which very few enjoy.

And so, the end times will very much resemble a roller coaster for those who experience it.

FOR THE BELIEVER AND FOLLOWER OF JESUS CHRIST, there will be unexpected twists and turns and many will be the times that believers will experience dips and drops which remind one of the most adventurous of roller coasters.

HOWEVER, like a ride at the amusement park, when the end times come to a close with the return of Jesus Christ, the believer will find himself TOTALLY under the control of God and enter into a TOTAL experience of an eternal future of happiness.

FOR THE NON-BELIEVER (the great majority of mankind), the end times will serve up many of the same experiences–but from a MUCH DIFFERENT viewpoint and perspective.  Like the believer, the non-believer will also undergo the various twists and turns BUT WITHOUT the reassurance that–like an amusement park ride–everything will turn out normally at the end. Like the believer, the non-believer will ALSO experience the heart-pounding dips and drops which make one hold onto whatever one believes to be most stable BUT WITHOUT the assurance that once Jesus returns, his eternal happiness is guaranteed.

FOR THE NON-BELIEVER, when the end times are finished; when man has failed in his satanic quest to defeat Jesus Christ and the armies of heaven; when Jesus sets up his reign: the ride he has been on will stop, his white-knuckled grip will relax, the doors will open and he will find himself in HELL.

Where the “thrills and chills” will NOT be enjoyable, but a torment.

Forever.

For eternity.

Such a LONG, long time to contemplate that all the ending unpleasantness COULD HAVE been avoided–IF ONLY he had thrown himself on the mercy of God and feared the LORD–instead of man.

For MOST OF MANKIND, the end times will indeed be a sort of amusement park thrill ride.

With a final destination that is HELL.

And it all could have been avoided IF the non-believer had sincerely believed the gospel message.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Does the reader enjoy thrill rides?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
