Two Rules To Remember About False Prophets

false prophets and false Christs abound “When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.”
–Deuteronomy 18:22

THE NUMBER ONE RULE one should remember when considering a person who claims to be a prophet (speak for God): IF 100 PERCENT OF WHAT THAT PERSON SAYS DOES NOT COME TO PASS, THEN THAT PERSON IS NOT A PROPHET.  THAT PERSON IS A FALSE PROPHET.  PAY NO ATTENTION TO ANYTHING HE SAYS.

There are those who promote the predictions they get right–while covering up the things they predict which do not come true. It doesn’t matter if the person has a “pretty good record.”

It has to be PERFECT.

THAT is the Rule Number One, as regards Prophets, false and otherwise.

Rule Number Two is almost as important to remember: there are no more prophets.

It does NOT matter what that person claims.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds”
–Hebrews 1:1-2

So, there are NO more prophets.

Period.

All those who claim to be prophets?

They are FALSE PROPHETS.

And there will be no end of such people during the last days.

DOES the reader believe the Word of God?

OR, does the reader believe that which the press and the churches and other men say?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” -–Romans 1:16
