A Reminder: The Gospel is Simple

  reminder notes

The gospel is not hard.

IN FACT, the gospel is simple.

Easy to read, easy to understand, easy to operate.

The gospel is basically five-and-a-half Bible verses; three sentences, ninety-four words.

THE GOSPEL

how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.”
–1 CORINTHIANS 3-8

The way the gospel works (strangely enough, but it IS the “power of God unto salvation TO EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH“) is simplicity itself.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
–Romans 1:16

1- BELIEVE the gospel and be eternally saved: delivered from forever torment by your choice.

2- DO NOT BELIEVE the gospel and be eternally condemned by your choice.

Simple, huh?

It’s a simple message, easy to understand, easy to activate. And, IF believed and one’s faith is placed in the gospel message, one’s life will surely change–for the better.

Tragically, practically EVERYONE who dwells upon the earth during the last days, REJECTS the gospel message.

EVEN when the power of God is on display for the whole world to see, end times man CURSES God and does NOT repent.

“And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.”
–Revelation 16:9

“And the fifth angel poured out his vial upon the seat of the beast; and his kingdom was full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues for pain, And blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.”
–Revelation 16:10-11

“And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.”
–Revelation 16:21

When God’s judgment begins to fall on deceived end times man, it is tragic that end times man would rather shake his tiny fist at the sky and CURSE God, rather than change the way he has lived (repent).

The gospel is simple enough.

BUT, it is not the complexity of the gospel which keeps the wicked from changing their ways.

And enjoying eternal salvation.

DOES the reader believe–and place his hope for the future–in the gospel?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.” -–Romans 1:16
