The Last Days Will Be Tough on Those Who Value a Routine

It has been observed that a GREAT many folks find reassurance and comfort in what is familiar.

And, what is familiar includes (for many of those folks) their daily ROUTINE.

It matter little on what small items make up that routine.  What matters is that those daily items are done–and done in their proper order.

Some may include getting a morning coffee in their lists of “things to do.

For others, coffee is not a big deal–BUT, taking a daily vitamin supplement might be.

Obtaining–then reading–a daily newspaper, watching a morning news or talk show, greeting the neighbor when he makes his morning appearance on his porch, working a crossword puzzle, going for a morning run, hitting the treadmill (or some other daily exercise), fixing a bite to eat, checking the oil in the car: the list of things which can make up a daily routine are almost endless.

Though “routine” MAY be associated with words like “dull” or “drab,” those things which make up a person’s daily routine usually are not associated with such words.

This is because that a routine helps assure the person engaged in it that “all is right with the world.”

HOWEVER, the chaos and confusion of events during the last days will make it tough on all who depend on their routines to get themselves started on their day.

There will be widespread disruptions to the “normal” day’s events.  Things which used to be taken for granted will become an adventure–when they are able to be done at all.

Some of these disruptions will be caused by the man of sin and his cohort in the run-up to the return of Jesus Christ.

Some of these disruptions will be caused by God’s judgments falling upon the earth and those who dwell upon it.

Whatever the reason, those small daily tasks and habits which make up one’s routine might be GREATLY changed–or vanish altogether.

And, what is not so commonly observed: with the elimination of daily routines, a corresponding disappearance of the COMFORT associated with those routines will happen.

The joy some feel upon sipping their morning coffee will be gone.

The familiar voices of those who chatter on a regular morning newscast will be gone.

The simple reassurance of taking a daily pill, “to start the day right,” will be gone.

The reaction to the loss of such small comforts will be as varied as there are people.

Many will lament the passing of their little, daily habits, while others will adjust quickly.  Some, by replacing that with which they have grown accustomed with some other thing COMPLETELY DIFFERENT from their old habit; others, by finding similar substitute habits to replace those which were lost.

A couple of things will, no doubt, NOT receive much attention.

1- When one loses that which makes up his daily routine, one loses the corresponding COMFORT OF THE FAMILIAR associated with that routine.

This adds to that person’s stress, anxiety and anxiousness levels.

2- What caused the changes in those long-established habits?

As long as the world is controlled by man, the stories about that world (and the way that world works) will change–MANY times, it will change frequently.

This makes it TOUGH on those who value a routine and the usually-NON-changing tasks which make up that routine.

DOES the reader have a set way of doing things each day?

HAS the reader ever stopped to think about the comfort this little regimen provides?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
