Modern weight loss thrives on deception.
It would seem that weight loss is a fairly EASY formula:
1- EAT LESS
2- EXERCISE (or otherwise do physical work) MORE
3- WEIGH LESS.
But no: the modern weight loss gurus have spent LOTS of time, effort and money to make weight loss appear to be so complicated, a person desiring to lose weight HAS to buy whatever that guru is selling: a book, a therapy, a contraption, etc.
There are MANY deceptions associated with weight loss.
The fundamental deception is that most people overeat because they are hungry.
This leads to any number of nostrums: weight loss pills, an endless stream of DIET BOOKS, smoothies and any number of pads, machinery or other inventions which promise the user a svelte, slim body in exchange for the money to buy such equipment.
And, of course, MEDICINE chips in to help out by creating any number of programs, remedies and/or therapies based on “eating disorders.”
But there are MANY reasons to eat, ‘hunger’ being, perhaps, the least common one.
There is only one reason to OVEREAT: sin.
So, NONE of the most commonly-offered remedies address the base problem.
ALL of the most commonly-offered remedies deceptively treat OVEREATING as if it was caused by hunger.
It is not.

There are a GREAT many deceptions that thrive during the end times: not all of them are strictly spiritual.
HOW does a deception so large and so common as the weight loss one survive?
Modern weight loss is a barometer for deception: one can gauge the amount of deception by how much one buys into all of the weight loss theories and gimmicks.
Those who are deceived want excuses for overeating (gluttony).
The weight loss industry provides them with such an excuse.
FOR A PRICE.
Apparently, there is no price too high that man will not accept excuses for sin.
The weight loss phenomena is proof of that.
HAS the reader ever chased his tail looking for an EASY WAY to shed weight?
HOW successful was the reader’s effort?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
