“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ. “
–Colossians 2:8
It is God who saves the deceived lost souls of the world, NOT the believer.
And it is through God’s great mercy (grace) that the lost are saved.
“For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.”
–Romans 9:15
When one FIRST becomes a believer, he becomes aware of the charge laid upon him to warn the deceived world and save souls.
“…he that winneth souls is wise.”
–Proverbs 11:30
Though this sudden desire to warn the deceived is NOT understood by former friends and family.
THEN, after the reality of an end times world hits home, the believer realizes that end times man is hopelessly deceived.
Finally, the believer realizes it is GOD who saves the lost, NOT the believer.
“Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God; Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.”
–2CORINTHIANS 3:5-6
Oh, the believer may offer a hook for the lost to hang his hat on, but when push comes to shove, it is GOD who decides who will enter the kingdom of heaven–and who will not.
And make no mistake: GOD is moved by FAITH: in particular, by the FAITH of that lost soul.
“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
–Jeremiah 29:13
Faith does NOT mean shouting, “I believe!” at a revival.
Faith does NOT mean signing a card at a church meeting promising to support the church.
Faith does not mean repeating “I have faith! I believe!” in front of men.
Faith means doing the things that God’s Word says must be done to exhibit that faith.
“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
–Hebrews 11:6
There comes a time when a lost, deceived one either wants to know God–really KNOW God–OR who makes a decision that all of this ‘God-talk’ is nothing more than self-serving nonsense.
Perhaps, it is to this soul who has decided to try and know God better than he has before, that the believer will stumble upon. AND THEN, what the believer might offer will ‘fit’ into what that lost soul is searching for.
And this may only happen once or twice (or no time that the believer is aware) BUT it is enough for the believer to redouble his efforts.
God UNDERSTANDS that end times man is deceived. After all, God created end times man.
BUT, understanding is NOT excusing.
The believer wades in among the vast horde of deceived unbelievers and brings them the gospel of Jesus Christ
As he was commanded to do.
The believer may serve as a stimulus for salvation; the believer may serve as a spur to salvation; the believer may serve as a catalyst for salvation.
BUT, it is GOD who saves the lost, NOT the believer.
“I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. “
–Psalm 34:4-5
DOES the reader ever wonder about why God saves ANYONE?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
