PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: DO NOT GIVE IN TO REBELLION!

Once upon a time, there was–in America and other countries–little snippets of public-mindedness called public service announcements.

A public service announcement (PSA) is a message in the public interest disseminated without charge, with the objective of raising awareness of, and changing public attitudes and behavior towards, a social issue. In the UK, they are generally called ‘public information films‘ (PIFs); in Hong Kong, they are known as ‘announcements in the public interest’ (‘APIs’).

Although almost ALL PSAs were little bits of propaganda, their short messages DID provide some HEALTHY food for thought about HEALTHY ideas as well.

Some PSA campaigns lasted for a VERY long time and became ingrained in the public’s awareness.

One of the earliest television public service announcements came in the form of Smokey Bear whose “Only you can prevent forest fires” campaign became famous and ran for decades.

With all of the preceding in mind, we would like to present ETPR’s own public service announcement for the end times.

“Resist the calls to rebel. To rebel is a CHOICE: do not make the WRONG choice! Unless their laws CLEARLY contradict God’s laws: obey the civil authorities. Obey God’s Word: do NOT rebel!”

There are a GREAT many pieces featured in the Corporate Media (Satan’s Mouthpiece) these days about the need to REBEL.

Sometimes, those pieces use phrases which urge rebellion WITHOUT using the words ‘revolt,’ revolution’ or ‘rebellion.’

Sometimes, those pieces are written in the name of GOVERNMENT FIGURES, in which they urge REBELLION against the same government they represent (or used to represent). These use phrases such as “Take back our country!” or “Stand up to tyranny! Throw the bums out!” [Left unsaid is the fact that “throwing the bums out” is a NEVER-ENDING job: there is an ENDLESS supply of bums who will rush to take the place of ANY and ALL bums who are thrown out.]

Some of these pieces are authored by well-known men of the world who come from the churches, the culture or some other sphere controlled by the world.

REGARDLESS, the reader is NOT to rebel…

…IF the reader is to remain safe, secure and obedient to God’s Word.

EVEN IF there comes a time when the civil authorities act contrary to the Word of God, there is NOWHERE in the Bible which says that it is okay for man to rebel.

EVEN IF there comes a time when the civil authorities act contrary to the Word of God, the reader is advised to take OTHER action.

TODAY’S “FEUDS”

Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right?

And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?

Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.

What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?

Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”

One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.

Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”

Oh–and pro wrestling…

One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.

Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.

Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

END TIMES ADVICE: ALL YOU OLD DOGS? LEARN NEW TRICKS!

Whenever someone expresses surprise, shock OR anger at an end times event which has clearly startled the speaker, a popular phrase in these parts is to say to that bewildered one has been “You ain’t seen nothing yet!”

This phrase is meant to convey SEVERAL IDEAS.

1- Better buckle your seat belt because we live in the end times–and, things are just getting started!

2- IF the speaker read, studied and BELIEVED God’s Word, he would NOT be taken aback by the event which just shocked him.

IN FACT, someone once responded to the observation ‘You ain’t seen nothing yet!” with a lament.

“But I’m an old dog. I’m too old to learn any new tricks!”

Which is not only an admission to failure NOW, it is an excuse for all future failures.

(And that is where that particular line of discussion ended–for some time.)

Some time after the remark about ‘being an old dog’ was made, someone came up with a good rejoinder.

“Hey! It’s the end times, buddy! Old dogs are gonna HAVE to learn new tricks to survive!”

(This is where that particular line of discussion is at present.)

And so, this is a good opportunity to remind readers NOT to get set in your ways.

The end times–the last days, in particular–will require a great many who desire to soldier on to do things in a manner which is fresh and NEW to them.

And so, today’s advice might be:

“Old dogs: get ready to learn new tricks!”

Or rather

“Old dogs: have you learned any new tricks this week?”

USING ‘SECRET KNOWLEDGE’ AS BAIT

Of all of the “bait” used by the mystery of iniquity and its many branches–for example, the secret societies, the knowledge cults, science, the demonic–none exhibits a stronger lure to men than “secret knowledge” or a “mystery.”

Fallen man loves a mystery!

Fallen man loves secret knowledge!

Knowing something that someone else does not know is the allure of gossip.

It is the secret of the secret societies.

It is part of the power behind those with familiar spirits.

OF COURSE, there is no real knowledge which shall remain secret.

“For nothing is secret, that shall not be made manifest; neither any thing hid, that shall not be known and come abroad.”

So, most of the “knowledge” which is supposedly “secret” is not really knowledge at all but is a collection of lies, half-truths, falsehoods and hearsay. It does not matter if a lie has been carefully handed down from one man to another for centuries: it is still a lie.

IF there exists such a thing as “secret knowledge,” then the supreme secret would be “It’s all lies.”

HOWEVER, lies kept under wraps are still useful as bait, lies or not.

But one thing man needs to keep in mind: whether it is real knowledge or the imitation type used by the mystery of iniquity, knowledge increases sorrow.

WHY DO SO MANY PEOPLE IN THE CHURCHES APPEAR UNHAPPY?

[A few years ago, ETPR published an article (Fake Christians: Wearing the Mask of a Strict, Joyless Life) about the pretenders in the churches acting so unhappy. It was recently decided to revisit that thought at some point in time. NOW is that point in time.]

FIRST, a few old thoughts.

To summarize the important parts of that previous article, we present the following.

1- A life lived without sin is a life without “FUN!“

These counterfeits have presented a public face of strict, austere coldness as “proof” they are “good people.” The idea, apparently, is that these counterfeits have forsaken the “fun” things of life here on earth and are living proof that sin is a provider of fun, glee and all of the wonderful things in life.

2- Unhappiness demands conformity–and that conformity is to demonstrate to the world that there is NO ‘fun’ in being a Christian FUNdamentalist.

Prude, prig, puritan: these words accurately describe those who have demonstrated their “goodness” by making life miserable for others.

They accomplish this NOT by preaching the gospel.

They accomplish this (most usually) by insisting that those around them adhere to the same set of rules and regulations by which the counterfeits supposedly live their cold, hard lives.

Their aim?

To bring reproach to the name of Jesus Christ.

FINALLY, a few NEW thoughts on the topic.

One would think that the churches would be FILLED with happy, joyous folks. After all, the churches are supposed to look like THE CHURCH. (This is NOT to say that there are NO joyous folks in the churches: there are. But the joyous folks appear to be the exception, rather than the rule.)

“The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.”

1- Nearly every waking moment of the REAL Christian’s life is colored by the realization that he is actually going to heaven.

This gives the REAL Christian a reason to be ever JOYFUL.

However, pretend Christians know NOTHING of this JOY.

IN FACT, pretend Christians cannot even imagine such joy: because pretend Christians are deceived, they write off such joy as the product of an over-active imagination.

IN FACT, the world of the pretend Christian seem to be populated by Gloomy Gus and Debbie Downer.

2- Because so FEW church folk (who are NOT active workers of iniquity) are acquainted with REAL Christians, they are sucked in to the fable that to be a Christian is to be unpleasantly cheerless. Therefore, a certain percentage of the church folk believe this dismal melancholy is part of the ‘Christian lifestyle.’

3- The church folk DO partake in some ‘acceptable’ behaviors which are contrary to God’s Word.

Eating is one of these.

So many church social events appear to promote a meal or eating as the feature event of the evening.

GLUTTONY appears to be an ‘acceptable’ behavior among the tares and their followers.

4- NOWHERE is it demonstrated in the churches that the pretenders have undergone the transformed life which comes from being reborn spiritually.

IF they were reborn spiritually, they would KNOW true joy.

IF they WERE reborn spiritually, they would be pretenders no longer.

“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. 5- Those in the churches who pretend to be Christians are largely OUTSIDE the scope of God’s great mercy.

IF those in the churches who pretend to be Christians were reborn spiritually, they would not only experience the joy of KNOWING their eternal destination, they would be provided with many infallible proofs of God’s great mercy.

KNOWING that God’s great mercy has touched their lives would be reason enough to exhibit great JOY–not austere cheerlessness–to their fellows.

When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

It doesn’t matter how bad things get, Americans can always count on the government/media to feed them happy statistics.

Especially about that mythical place known as Wall Street.

At least until the very bottom falls out.

With a worldwide economy in serious trouble, something has got to give

Wall Street finished the month on a tear, close to an all time record, just as America revealed second quarter annual growth of just 1.2 per cent, well below the expected 2.6 per cent.

HOWEVER, if Americans didn’t enjoy the lies so much, there would be much less of them.
