Not so very long ago–in a land once called the United States of America–one of the qualities used to judge those things which one came in contact with was “CUTE.”
having a pleasing and usually youthful appearance
What a cute [=adorable] baby!
a cute [=pretty] pink dress
But NOW?
It appears that one most often hears the word, “cute” accompanied by a snort.
As in
“Yeah, yeah. I see that you’re ‘cute.’ So what?”
Meaning,
Cute ain’t what it used to be.
This observation prompted a few questions.
Has the reader ever stopped to think about this?
Does the reader–even grudgingly–admit that this is true?
Has the reader ever wondered WHY this is?
One of the ANSWERS might be that Americans have LESS of an appreciation for ‘cute-ness’ NOW than they once did. “Cute” is just not very important–the thousands of cat-lovers who share, what seem to be, an unending number of “cute” cat pix among themselves notwithstanding–in the life of the modern these days.
[It was ALSO brought to mind that AT ONE TIME, referring to a person as “cute” meant something different according to gender.
IF the person was male, “cute” could mean anything from “pretty” to “sexy” to “attractive.”
—“That girl was pretty cute!”
IF the person was female, “cute” usually took on a more traditional meaning.
–“She’s cute–like a baby duck.”]
Again, thinking on this matter seemed to stir up the the same questions.
Has the reader ever stopped to think about this?
Does the reader–even grudgingly–admit that this is true?
Has the reader ever wondered WHY this is?
Yes, thinking for any length of time on this possibility brought the same questions to mind–along with a few OTHER ones.
Is the reader old enough to be able to make this call?
Does the reader have ANY ideas for what may have brought about this change?
IS the reader one of those who think of baby animals and baby humans as “cute“?
DOES the reader believe it is EASIER to enjoy cute-ness when everything is all right with the world?
DOES the reader believe that everything is all right with HIS world?
It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
