DISBELIEF IN THE BEGINNING
The KIng James Version of the Bible has been around for about 510 years.
The King James Version (KJV), also the King James Bible (KJB) and the Authorized Version, is an English translation of the Christian Bible for the Church of England, which was commissioned in 1604 and published in 1611, by sponsorship of King James VI and I.
Because the KJV edition of God’s Word has been in use by man for so long, there are phrases which are, not only known, but WELL-KNOWN.
Which means that there are well-known phrases from the KJV–which are used EVERYDAY–which are not only DISBELIEVED by those who cling to their own particular superstitions, there are phrases which are ATTACKED by such folk when used in the manner for which they were first intended.
The King James Version of the Bible was first published on this day, 2 May, in 1611. This is arguably still the definitive English translation of the Bible, containing a lyricism and beauty of phrasing [and accuracy–Ed.] which many find largely absent from the more recent translations of the Bible into English.
A few of those well-known objects of scorn by disbelievers are
GO THE EXTRA MILE
This is from a specific Bible verse, from Matthew 5:41: ‘And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.’ Colin Dexter, creator of Inspector Morse, took this verse as the epigraph, and inspiration, for his Morse novel The Riddle of the Third Mile.

In Genesis 1:1, the full verse saying is translated as:
In the beginning God created the heaven and the Earth. (King James Version)
It was used again in the New Testament in the verse John 1:1:
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
TO PUT WORDS IN SOMEONE’S MOUTH
From II Samuel 14:3: ‘And come to the king, and speak on this manner unto him. So Joab put the words in her mouth.’
A WOLF IN SHEEP’S CLOTHING
This phrase appears in Matthew 7:15, which warns, ‘Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.’ (Indeed, ‘beware of false prophets’ has also taken on the status of proverb, referring more generally to people who may not be quite what they claim to be.) The interesting thing – which makes this one a little more complicated – is that this phrase also appears in Aesop’s Fables, which were written before the verse from Matthew. However, it is unclear whether this specific phrase was in use in English before the KJV.
But (in reference to this last point), Aesop’s Fables were NOT written down (except for one collection) before the verse in Matthew was written. So, there is NO clear information on which source featured the verse first.
BOTTOMLESS PIT
The phrase comes from the Book of Revelation (the last book in the Bible) and is used seven times in that one book.

The word used BEFORE ‘bottomless pit’?
Most commonly used was the word “abyss“–which is NOT in the KJV (even once).

All of this is written to point out that it matters not how lyrical or beautiful a phrase may be, there are those who will NOT believe it.

Good child stars gone bad – Looking for something else, this writer came across a list of child stars gone bad.
Then the entry for #11–Jaimee Foxworth (who this writer had never heard of)–was noticed. What was of interest was the following.
Foxworth later fell into drinking and felt forced to launch a career (albeit short-lived) in Adult Videos in order to financially support her family.”
This seems to be a fairly common event among the rich and celebrated–at least more common than among regular working folk.
OF COURSE, Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) justifies the behavior in every way possible.
Here’s a few questions: Why don’t any of these women ever take a job at Wal-Mart to financially support their families?
Why are spotty finances always given as a reason for entry into the pornographic industry?
Why does the media portray that they are “forced by circumstances” into removing their clothes?

Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right? And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right? Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?
IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else. What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds? Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.” One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well. Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

WHAT IS THE LAST WORD IN GOD’S WORD?
The last word in the most popular (and one of the oldest) versions of the Bible is VERY appropriate.
What is that last word?
“The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

The last word in the Bible is “Amen.”
Why is AMEN appropriately the last word in God’s Word?
Amen (Hebrew: אָמֵן, ʾāmēn; Ancient Greek: ἀμήν, amên; Arabic: آمین, āmīn(a); Aramaic/Classical Syriac: ܐܡܝܢ, ‘amīn) is an Abrahamic declaration of affirmation[2] first found in the Hebrew Bible, and subsequently in the New Testament.[3] It is used in Jewish, Christian and Islamic worship, as a concluding word, or as a response to a prayer. Common English translations of the word amen include “verily”, “truly”, “it is true”, and “let it be so”. It is also used colloquially, to express strong agreement.
To modern man, the disconnect between ‘so be it’ and ‘amen’ appears to a certainty in the media and other popular culture.
However, for YEARS, it was commonly taught that ‘Amen‘ meant ‘So be it.’
And now–if the reader was previously uninformed–the reader knows.

Leaving the reader with the distinct impression that over the last 10 years, Americans have all become lazy, good-for-nothing food stamp gobblers.
Now, many people DO know someone who abuses the program. But might the doubling of food stamps over the last 10 years be attributed to something other than rampant laziness and sloth?
How about the wholesale dismantling of America’s industrial base?
Might that have something to do with food stamp increases?
Here’s a few tips for the reader:
1- NO ONE complains more about “lazy people” than the counterfeit Christian.
2- NO ONE brags more about how hard he works than a tare–usually one who is not working himself.
3- NO ONE measures worth by having a job more than the deceived and deceiving–EVEN IF THEY THEMSELVES DO NOT HAVE A JOB.
4- NO ONE justifies his slopping at the public trough more than those who complain of others not “pulling their own weight.”
Just so the reader will know what is really going on the next time someone starts complaining about “those people” who “are on food stamps” or “who do not have jobs” or “Who have a bunch of kids just to get a check.”
Ironically, many of those complaining the loudest lost their jobs (many through no fault of their own) and are now on some type of public assistance–which they will insist that they “earned” or “deserve” through their previously-at-some-point having had a job.
WHY do they complain so vehemently?
Perhaps they feel if they didn’t complain, someone might think THEY were 1- poor; or, 2- lazy?
Perhaps they believe complaining puts them above suspicion that they might be shiftless and one of “those people“?

Black Friday 2016 is not only aptly named, it already has 371 million results in Google.
So America has just finished its celebration of death and darkness during the Halloween season, catches its breath for about 10 hours on Thanksgiving and then dives headfirst into the Season of Greed!

FAKING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.”
–Galatians 1:8-9
The phoney gospel is a regular topic around these parts: about how many churches and other so-called ‘Christian’ websites, ministries, men of God refuse to preach the gospel. Instead they offer substitutes which SOUND good.
Until closer inspection.
Oh, they TALK about the gospel: they just never actually share the gospel.
Here’s an example from an article we read this weekend.
Every single teacher or leader in Christ needs to preach the Gospel message. This message says: believe that Jesus is who he said he is, repent, accept his mercy as a free gift, forgive everyone, obey the commands of Jesus and the Apostles, love, exercise self control, and be holy –for without holiness no one can see God. Every message that is not centered on scripture and the clear message contained therein must be ignored.
Of course, this is NOT the gospel message.
But it sounds good.
Which is the whole idea.

It is tragic that so many who smile so nice and pretty in the church pulpits will, upon reaching their judgment, find they are twice-accursed (according to Galatians 1:8-9).

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
