The End Times in a Nutshell: For Believers and Nonbelievers Alike

He had a lot to say, but his answer, in a nutshell, was no.

Dozens, hundreds, THOUSANDS of words have been written on the end times–both the MAIN POINTS and the FINER POINTS, as well.

Will ONE MORE ARTICLE ABOUT THE END TIMES matter to the believer?

Probably not.

Will ONE MORE ARTICLE ABOUT THE END TIMES matter to the non-believer?

Again, probably not.

ONE MORE ARTICLE about the main end times players (Satan the dragon, the man of sin, Jesus Christ, the Two Witnesses, etc.) will mostly likely NOT convince the believer to change his ways: ALL who have undergone the transformation of being re-born spiritually have ALREADY radically changed their relationship with God, His Son, Jesus Christ and sin.

ONE MORE ARTICLE about the main end times players (Satan the dragon, the man of sin, Jesus Christ, the Two Witnesses) will most likely NOT convince the non-believer to change his ways: the non-believer does NOT change so much as he mocks and scoffs at that which he does NOT believe.

Ditto for ONE MORE ARTICLE about the events of the end times, the warnings of the end times or the calamities of God’s wrath being poured out upon the earth and those who dwell upon the earth (except “those whose names are [] written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”) for BOTH believers and NON-believers.

So, what are the end times IN A NUTSHELL?

Perhaps the following:

“One either believes the Word of God or one doesn’t believe it. IF one believes the Word of God, that book contains ALL that is necessary for one to live in the end times. IF one does NOT believe the Word of God, then one will skip merrily down the broad way to his destruction, all the while defending his unbelief.”

“Enter ye in at the strait [narrow] gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
–Matthew 7:13-14

DOES the reader claim to believe the Word of God, and then add a “BUT” or “EXCEPT” immediately afterwards?

DOES the reader claim to NOT believe the Word of God?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?

Satan Rewards His End Times Human Herd–For a Little While

Like those trained circus seals, who were once rewarded for playing little tunes on musical instruments, members of the end times human herd who please Satan get thrown the equivalent of a piece of fish whenever they perform as Satan desires.

They look alike.

They sound alike.

They even talk alike.

The end times human herd mimic the latest ‘news’ and songs they hear and the latest instructions from those who are giving out instructions.

Perhaps the human herd believes that there is SAFETY IN NUMBERS?

And who knows? Perhaps this nostrum of the world is true?

For a little while longer…

Satan looks out over his LARGE herd of end times humans and sees the herd’s cravings for CONFORMITY.

This need to be like everyone else is one way Satan controls those who dwell upon the earth.

“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8

“C’mon! Get in line! You don’t want to be the only one not in line, do you?”

Whenever members of Satan’s end times human herd perform as if they are one, Satan rewards them by throwing them the equivalent of a piece of fish.

This rewarding of accepted behavior with trivial trinkets will continue RIGHT UP UNTIL the slaughter begins.

FIRST, Satan will slaughter the members of his end times human herd: they are herd animals, after all. And because Satan uses fear, hatred and anxiety to maintain control of his human herds.

And what better way to instill fear and anxiety than by slaughtering a few of those who once followed Satan in lockstep?

THEN, the wrath of God and the return of His Son, Jesus Christ, will allow judgment to fall upon Satan’s human herd.

“I have trodden the winepress alone; and of the people there was none with me: for I will tread them in mine anger, and trample them in my fury; and their blood shall be sprinkled upon my garments, and I will stain all my raiment. For the day of vengeance is in mine heart, and the year of my redeemed is come.”
–Isaiah 63:3-4

And, too late will so many of the end times human herd THEN discover that there is NO safety in numbers.

DOES the reader talk about ‘being his own man (or woman)’ and then check around him to see what everyone else is doing?

The Imperfection of Man in God’s Word

One of the many ways that readers can KNOW that God’s Word is true is that–regardless of the Bible’s age of THOUSANDS OF YEARS–God’s Word STILL presents man as he really is: NOT heroic or brave or good BUT wicked and flawed and in need of a savior.

When MAN creates something which becomes TRADITIONAL, that ‘something’ gets ‘cleaned up’ over the years: man’s imperfections get “airbrushed” until man is no longer man but a caricature of man.

God’s Word presents man “as he is” AS SEEN THROUGH THE EYES OF MAN’S CREATOR.

“And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
–Genesis 1:26-27

God’s Word does NOT state that God created man as a carbon copy of God: God’s Word states that man was created “after our likeness.”

Man has MANY flaws: God’s Word presents man with his MANY flaws.

God LOVES His creation. God does NOT love His creation so much that He overlooks sin. BUT, God loves His creation EVEN THOUGH that creation may have imperfections and flaws.

This is demonstrated in God’s Word. ALL of the men and women who were favored by God had their imperfections.

This included King David–a man God said “was after my own heart.”

“And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.”
–Acts 13:22

Even though David was HEAVILY favored by God, David had his imperfections. One of those times King David sinned is described in 2SAMUEL.

“And David’s heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying, Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days’ pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.”
–2SAMUEL 24:10-14

[Note that David said that he had done “very foolishly” when describing his “great sin.” God’s Word often equates sin, wickedness and evil with foolishness.]

AS ALWAYS, whenever David sinned, he confessed that sin to God, paid God’s price for that sin and repented [changed direction or changed mind] so that David did not repeat that sin.

Perhaps this is one reason why God loved David as He did?

God Word presents God’s creation–including man–as it REALLY is, not some idealized version.

This is why God’s Word presents a picture of man–even when a man is favored of God–which includes warts and all.

HAS the reader EVER wondered why those whose accounts make up the bulk of God’s Word were so flawed?

WHY does the reader believe this is so?
