“He can’t see the forest for the trees.”
–Popular saying
A popular saying is ‘can’t see the forest for the trees,’ which means
- idiomatic To discern an overall pattern from a mass of detail; to see the big picture, or the broader, more general situation.
- (idiomatic, in the negative, by extension) To be overwhelmed by detail to the point where it obscures the overall situation.
And so, a GREAT MANY who are interested in end times events, may CONCENTRATE on the individual end times events or prophecies AS THEY HAVE LEARNED THEM and miss the overall picture of the end times.
This normally happens when the person is soaking up the essence of FALSE TEACHINGS about the end times.
For instance, there once was a man who believed he was VERY knowledgeable about the end times.
BUT, is it knowledge if what one knows is NOT true?
After experiencing the ‘born again’ transformation of the spiritual rebirth, the man then understood that MOST of what he previously believed he knew, was FALSE.
The man was guilty of concentrating on the end times trees–and largely IGNORING the end times forest.
A FEW of those end times trees follow.
1- The ONE-WORLD GOVERNMENT
Instead of the basis of conspiracy theories, the one-world government (which rules the entire earth) is an end times fact pf life.
“And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.”
–Revelation 13:7
“After this I saw in the night visions, and behold a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and strong exceedingly; and it had great iron teeth: it devoured and brake in pieces, and stamped the residue with the feet of it: and it was diverse from all the beasts that were before it; and it had ten horns. I Daniel was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me. I came near unto one of them that stood by, and asked him the truth of all this. So he told me, and made me know the interpretation of the things. Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces. And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings. And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time. But the judgment shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and to destroy it unto the end. And the kingdom and dominion, and the greatness of the kingdom under the whole heaven, shall be given to the people of the saints of the most High, whose kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all dominions shall serve and obey him.”

Those who pay close attention to the trees–rather than the forest–are watching for when the nations of the earth will make a grand end times proclamation.
“We are the one-world government and we control the whole world!”
But what IF there was NO grand proclamation?
What IF the nations of the world entered into this one-world beast of a government ‘on the sly’?

And so, a great many will be WAITING for some grand proclamation or announcement–when they have been part of the GREAT BEAST of one-world government all along.
IF no grand announcement of the one-world government takes place, a GREAT number of tree watchers will dismiss ALL that subsequently takes place due to it NOT fitting into what they have been told about the one-world government. A great number of deceived people–because an event did NOT meet their expectations of how that event was to play out–will be fooled.
Satan is a tricky fellow.
2- THE END TIMES VILLAIN NAMED ‘THE ANTICHRIST’
There is NO ONE recorded in God’s Word labeled as “the antichrist.”
[Most of the newer translations of the Bible has conveniently made this change in 1JOHN, changing ‘antichrist’ to ‘THE antichrist.’]
There IS a religious leader who is named as the “man of sin.”
“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition”
–2THESSALONIANS 2:3
This leader is also called the false prophet and is the false Messiah.
“And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.”
–Revelation 16:13-14
This ‘man of sin’ will do MANY ungodly deeds and will eventually end up in the lake of fire.
“And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.”
–Revelation 19:20
“And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.”
–Revelation 20:10
3- THE GATHERING TOGETHER
The word “rapture” is NOT in the Bible, however, that is the word the WORLD uses to describe what God’s Word calls ‘the gathering together.’
“Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and by our gathering together unto him”
–2THESSALONIANS 2:1
“And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.”
–Matthew 24:30-31
This event takes place IMMEDIATELY before Jesus Christ returns to earth.
HOWEVER, over the last 200 years, a teaching arose designed to lull asleep the deceived–particularly the deceived who meet in the churches.
This flesh-pleasing teaching is called the “Pre-tribulation Rapture” and it claims that all of those who are too scared to stand up and witness for Jesus Christ will be whisked off to heaven and avoid the unpleasantries of MARTYRDOM. In this telling, those who DO witness for Jesus Christ are called the LEFT BEHIND.
The one-world government which will one day rule the earth, the antichrist and the rapture are all interesting because all contain a healthy dose of DRAMA.
These three ‘end times trees’ obscure the ‘end times forest’ which is the RETURN OF JESUS CHRIST and His rule FOREVER.
DO NOT concentrate on the TREES and ignore the FOREST.
FOR which one is the reader watching?
DOES the reader believe the end time trees will be EASY to spot?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
