Man has ALWAYS been attracted to that which is SHINY.
Of all of the SHINY (those things which capture the attention of the eyes and which appear to be luminous) objects available during the last days, perhaps the most dangerous to those who dwell upon the earth, are the many SHINY STORIES which are told by the ENEMIES of man.
These stories SOUND good–as long as one does NOT look too closely at them–but upon closer inspection, these narratives lead those who follow them to destruction.
SHINY stories have been told for centuries: some as what we call “history;” others, as what we call “education,” “science” or “medicine.”
The reader can KNOW that these narratives are nothing more than SHINY (attractive) stories IF the reader had enough interest in determining this was so. But, most are more interested in believing those things which are told to them by those they KNOW lie to them.
The SHINY STORIES of the last days are a particularly NOXIOUS form of narrative. They not only DECEIVE, they lead the unwary to their destruction.
Among the SHINY STORIES already told (especially to those who inhabit the churches), the Pre-Tribulation Rapture fable is one of the most destructive. Although worldly sources try and give this Johnny-come-lately story a centuries-old background, the narrative is relatively new, being a few hundred years old.

There are a number of other SHINY STORIES which exalt the dragon (Satan).
One of these has to do with Satan being called the ‘God of this world’ by the deceived.
“In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.”
–2CORINTHIANS 4:4
This is perhaps the EASIEST story to debunk.
1- There is NOWHERE in God’s Word which declares that there are any other gods other than God Almighty.
2- In the chapter before 2CORINTHIANS 4:4, the discussion is focused on God–NOT Satan–and God’s ability to uniquely blind wicked men to the truth.
“And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished: But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ. But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.”
–2CORINTHIANS 3:13-16
Another SHINY (full of reflected luminescence) STORY told about the dragon during the last days is about the dragon’s overwhelming power and his victory over God and God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
The followers of the dragon BELIEVE this SHINY STORY with all of their hearts.
This does not make the story true, however.
God (who created the dragon) declares that He will ensure the followers of Jesus will have enough power to defeat the dragon and his minions.
As Jesus once told his disciplines:
“And he said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven. Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven.”
–Luke 10:18-20
One more story is the one told about how the dragon will slay those who stay loyal to their Creator and refuse to worship the dragon.
That the dragon will kill those who do not worship him or his beasts is true.
“And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live. And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed.”
–Revelation 13:13-15
The SHINY STORY is the one told to persuade those who dwell on the earth to WORSHIP the dragon–instead of God.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,8
These are only a very few of the SHINY STORIES which deceived men believe NOW and LATER. IF the reader is interested enough, he may read about these events in the Book of Revelation. But most are deceived and thus will NOT invest a little time to ensure their eternal salvation.
IMPORTANT!
Beware of the SHINY STORIES!
DOES the reader enjoy a good story?
DOES it make any difference to the reader if the story is untrue?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
