God and The Art of Conversation

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”
–John 10:27

Perhaps the reader has devoted some thought to the world AFTER the return of Jesus Christ.

Perhaps not.

God’s Word informs that the world will be a MUCH different place ONCE Jesus returns.

For one, Jesus will rule over the earth FOREVER.

“I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.”
–Daniel 7:13-14

For another, God will make His home among His creation: God will dwell among men–as was ALWAYS intended from the beginning as part of God’s plan for Himself, His people and His creation.

“And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.”
–Revelation 21:3

Perhaps the reader has devoted some thought to the gentle art of conversation AFTER Jesus returns and God makes His home among men.

Perhaps not.

MOST of what is written about CONVERSATION emphasize that the best at conversing are those who LISTEN to the other person.  God has had PLENTY of experience in LISTENING to others, so God ought to be the VERY BEST at conversation.

IF one has devoted ANY time to thinking about conversation, one will discover how much SURPRISE and THE UNEXPECTED affect conversation BETWEEN MEN.

SURPRISE is the basis of much humor.

MUCH news which is passed between men focuses on the unknown and the SURPRISE of finding out what was previously unknown.

When one REVEALS himself to another, one of the strongest lures of that revelation is the possible SURPRISE it may contain.

THE UNKNOWN or THE UNEXPECTED contribute to MUCH of the speculation which surrounds the mysteries of that which is not known.

BUT, God knows ALL.

Therefore, God is NEVER surprised, as He inhabits every point of time, past, present and future.

MORE: God is NEVER Surprised

Perhaps the reader has devoted some time to how the art of conversation would GREATLY CHANGE if surprise was eliminated.

OF COURSE, God could limit the scope of His abilities so that He would be surprised.

BUT THEN, would God be all-knowing–which is an attribute of God?

God WILL talk to His people once He makes His home among them, as will Jesus Christ, His Son.

“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me”
–John 10:27

What would one talk about to God?

Does one NOW pray?

Prayer is a form of talking to God.

What does the reader pray about?

God delights in His people and His interactions with them.

Perhaps God’s DELIGHT will make up most of those future conversations?

“The LORD thy God in the midst of thee is mighty; he will save, he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love, he will joy over thee with singing.”
–Zephaniah 3:17

“The LORD taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy.”
–Psalm 147:11

“For the LORD taketh pleasure in his people: he will beautify the meek with salvation.”
–Psalm 149:4

“But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD.”
–Jeremiah 9:24

Perhaps the reader has devoted some thought to how the gentle art of conversation could GREATLY change AFTER the return of Jesus Christ.

Perhaps not.

Perhaps the reader has devoted some thought to how conversations would GREATLY change IF held with One Who Is All-Knowing?

HAS the reader ever wondered about how conversation would change once Jesus returns to earth?

It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
