It has been at least five or six YEARS since we’ve addressed Genesis 6, so it seemed like now was fortuitous to do so.
GENESIS 6 is a VERY popular chapter for the sci-fy Bibleheads, the Mad engineers of the churches or ANY other group which wants to attract some attention to something that is 1- in the Bible; 2- true; and, 3- sure to attract any number of idle gawkers (because of all the apparent sensationalistic characters which take center state.
And make no mistake, there are a number of eye-catching phrases which populate Genesis Chapter 6.
A few are:
“…There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that…”
“…when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.”
“And GOD saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. “
“And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.”
VERY dramatic!
ANYHOW…
Once a good party gets started, it’s hard to shut down.
And so it was that Genesis 6 spawned a number of stories for which there was NOT a shred of Biblical evidence.
Some of the stories had to do with GIANT human beings being born of an unholy union of earth women and fallen angels!
(Though God’s Word was QUITE clear that fallen angels were in chains under the earth until Judgment Day–not out impregnating earth women.)
BUT, it seems that FEW want to shut down a good storytelling session.
Back when this writer was a heathen/New Christian, Genesis 6 stories were not only popular, they often drew a crowd.
Stories about the ‘nephelim’ (the fallen ones) who were supposedly the spawn of fallen angels and were very great men of old, were related.
Often, a place which wanted to guarantee a good crowd made sure of including some NEPHELIM/GIANT VIDEOs from the places which cranked them out seemingly overnight.
And whenever what was claimed ran contrary to the Bible?
Well, it was something that was not spoken of between those who populated such affairs.
Just because the Genesis 6 Science Fiction Eschatology folks never really go away, it was thought this might be good time for another warning.

DOES the reader feel that fallen angels have been a curse to mankind for centuries?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
