“…the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb. Moreover by them is thy servant warned: and in keeping of them there is great reward.”
–Pr 19:9-11
IF one is FAMILIAR with the end times, one knows that it is a time of many warnings.
IF one is NOT FAMILIAR with the end times, one soon enough learns that it is a time of warnings.
And these are not just any type of warnings: these are warnings by God Himself, as recorded in God’s Word (so their truth is undisputed.)
And the warnings cover a LARGE amount of territory.
1- There are many warnings which caution the reader of PHYSICAL dangers and pitfalls to come.
“The first angel sounded, and there followed hail and fire mingled with blood, and they were cast upon the earth: and the third part of trees was burnt up, and all green grass was burnt up.”
–Revelation 8:7
2- In addition, there are many other warnings which alert the reader of spiritual or NON-PHYSICAL calamities, coming from God Himself.
“And the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, Saying to the sixth angel which had the trumpet, Loose the four angels which are bound in the great river Euphrates. And the four angels were loosed, which were prepared for an hour, and a day, and a month, and a year, for to slay the third part of men. And the number of the army of the horsemen were two hundred thousand thousand: and I heard the number of them. And thus I saw the horses in the vision, and them that sat on them, having breastplates of fire, and of jacinth, and brimstone: and the heads of the horses were as the heads of lions; and out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone. By these three was the third part of men killed, by the fire, and by the smoke, and by the brimstone, which issued out of their mouths. For their power is in their mouth, and in their tails: for their tails were like unto serpents, and had heads, and with them they do hurt. And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
–Revelation 9:13-21
3- There are other declarations which advise the reader of coming NON-SPECIFIC events.
“And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.”
–Revelation 11:13
4- The last bit of warnings have to do with the effects of God’s Wrath being poured out on a wicked world.
“And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth.”
–Revelation 16:1
Warnings are only effective IF those who are warned PAY ATTENTION to the warnings.
And so, a GREAT MANY men do NOT heed God’s warnings BECAUSE they do NOT believe those warnings.
Consequently, those men suffer the consequences of their UNBELIEF.
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
–Revelation 20:15
The moral of this short piece?
PAY ATTENTION TO THE WARNINGS IN GOD’S WORD CONCERNING THE LAST DAYS OF THE END TIMES.
DOES the reader believe the warnings which are found in God’s Word?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
