“Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble”
–Psalm 107:6
One of the real head-scratchers of the last days is that SOME men–who shunned the Word of God during good times–will turn to the Word of God as they run out of other options.
It is NOT as though such men are SINCERELY, GENUINELY seeking God: they just seem to be saying, “Hey! NOTHING seems to work. I’ve tried everything else–I might as well try this too!”
And so, this is the REAL last days puzzle: Why do some men (who think the Word of God is for primitive believers) turn to the Word of God when all else fails?
Perhaps they have run out of things to try?
Perhaps they believe “It works for some…It might work for me!”?
Perhaps they really don’t have any other options? Maybe they are stalling for a little time?
FOR WHATEVER THEIR REASONS: those who turn to God’s Word for answers when earlier, they thought God’s Word was for the simple-minded, are likely to be disappointed.
God is looking for a people who will worship Him as God–NOT for a people who don’t have any other answers.
[That doesn’t mean that God MIGHT not bestow His GREAT mercy on one or two of the faithless. He MIGHT.]
Turn to God’s Word BEFORE it becomes clear that the ‘other ways’ DO NOT work.
Do NOT suffer the great disappointments of the ‘prepper.’
The reader needs to switch SIDES, not methods.
TO WHOM will the reader turn in times of great chaos and disruption?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
