“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”
–Numbers 23:19
God’s Word contains a GREAT MANY promises to those among men who LOVE and FEAR the LORD.
Some have counted over 300 promises.
The wicked believe these promises from God to be WORTHLESS. They know of NO ONE who loves and fears God, so they see NO evidence of God’s promises being fulfilled.
This is much the same with those who congregate in the church buildings: they know of NO ONE who loves and fears God (beyond claims made with their lips only), so they see NO evidence of God’s promises being fulfilled. Many in this crowd believe that they have somehow excluded themselves from God’s promises.

As there are VERY FEW who walk the narrow path to eternal life, VERY FEW there are who exhibit God’s promises and power in their lives.
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”
–Matthew 7:13-14
So, just what are some of the many promises God has made?

–1JOHN 5:14-15
[TRUE followers of God ALWAYS pray according to His will–because of the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit.
“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.”
–Romans 8:26-27]

–Romans 8:37-39
“Delight thyself also in the Lord: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.”

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
