(The reader should understand that–except for some mistaken notions of a few folks–this piece is connected to the end times in only the most tangential of ways.)
Back when times were more settled and things were more ‘normal’ (1979) , a song was released by a group known as the Talking Heads.
Contained on a record album called FEAR OF MUSIC, the song (Life During Wartime) featured a mishmash of sounds, as well as the inscrutable chorus “This ain’t no party. This ain’t no disco. This ain’t no foolin’ around.”
(In fact, the official title of the song as a single was “Life During Wartime (This Ain’t No Party… This Ain’t No Disco… This Ain’t No Foolin’ Around)”.
Quite a long title for a song.
The reason the aforementioned is referenced is that more than one person has connected the song (Life During Wartime) to life during the last days of the end times.
Such things as the singer mentioning he survives on a diet of peanut butter and the paranoid line “You ought to know not to stand by the window.” have been mentioned by the song’s champions as reasons it should be linked to life during the end times.
Whether one believes all of that or not, the central question of whether the song refers to life during the end times is fairly easy to answer.
No.
The reasons?
1- The main writer of the song (and its lyrics) has stated that the song is mainly about “urban guerilla warfare.”
2- Though many critics used the word “apocalyptic” to describe the song and its lyrics, NOT ONE mentioned the song in connection with the end times.
3- There is NOTHING in God’s Word to make one believe that there will be “urban guerilla warfare” by the populations of men against their end times rulers. I
N FACT, quite the opposite.

SO, “Life During Wartime” was just another song using unconventional scenery as a backdrop.
Although one can NOT (in these times of the Memory Hole) depend on what was written YEARS ago, this topic was covered YEARS ago–and what was written appears to have LARGELY NOT changed since then.
The song is infectious and likable, however, it is NOT (from all information which is available) about the end times.

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.
What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?
Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”
One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.
Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

This is one way the reader may identify propaganda: if the media continually repeats a story on a regular basis, he is most likely being exposed to propaganda.
The next logical question for the reader is “For what reason do they want me to believe this?”

GOD’S NOT DEAD: THE MOVIE
Review/Rant: God’s Not Dead – The Most Offensive Movie I’ve Ever Seen – The author of this piece seems concerned about starting “conversations” (If only one could buy stock in annoying, overused buzzwords).
The only conversation this piece starts is “How ironic is it when a review exhibits the same flaws the reviewer sees in the movie he’s supposed to be reviewing?”
If the piece had been more clever, the reviewer might have given the reader the sense that the irony was planned. But no, it was wholly unintentional as the only cleverness here will be the reader devising ways to trick himself into finishing it.
This is however an excellent example of the license youngsters believe they have IF they first use the word “Rant” in the headline of a piece. “Rant” is the ideal word for the self-exalted times in which we live; a word beloved by the those with little more to offer than attitude.
In engaging in such gross self-indulgence at the readers’ expense, writers make the review about themselves instead of the subject they are supposedly reviewing. This makes these kinds of pieces–as well as the popularity of “Rant”–perfect for a generation whose highest art form is the selfie.
Atheists Bad, Christians Good: A review of “God’s Not Dead” – A much better review–which is not the same as saying the ideas it communicates are correct. Though written by an atheist, it is far less self-indulgent and therefore, much easier to read.

I don’t imagine that this movie will cause multitudes of unbelievers to come to Jesus, although I do think that many may come to Christ as a result of the seeds planted, but the true effect of God’s Not Dead will be on the life of believers.
This writer’s take of God’s Not Dead? It’s not a very good movie but it’s the perfect movie for the pew-sitters now inhabiting churches. The protagonist’s “defense” of God is not very good.
IF any atheists were converted by this movie, it would only be through a miracle of God–and it would present a better argument for the existence of God than anything offered in the movie.
WORSHIPING LIBERTY: AN IDOL
Satan’s Mouthpiece relentlessly tries to justify rebellion against the civil authorities to Americans–especially those Americans who weekly congregate in the pagan churches.

The linked article’s ending paragraph is particularly instructive. After a piece that began as a supposed warning against secret societies (not a bad thing), it ends with:

Good advice–if the author had stopped there. But, because this is 2013 and we’re being programmed to join a coming rebellion against the civil authorities, it doesn’t stop there but adds the following:

Does God give guidance and “strength” to those in the process of overthrowing what is in His word?
Here’s a tip: if something contradicts the Word of God, it doesn’t matter how many times the author invokes the name of (a) god, it’s still to be marked by Christians. The many articles written attempting to justify rebellion for Christians clearly contradict scriptures, notably 1 Peter 2:13-14 and Romans 13:1-7.
In addition, 2 Peter 2:9-10 is very clear–particularly for all of those who plead “It’s alright to rebel against tyranny!”
“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.”
The word translated as “government” can also be translated as “authority.”
The American Revolution was not just a rejection of the rule of the king of England, but a rejection of the rule of Jesus Christ. He Himself forbade us to take up the sword and commanded us to render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s. The Apostle Paul states that those who oppose government oppose God. Yet the Founding Fathers” took up the sword and opposed with powder and ball the lawful government. They founded a “Novus Ordo Seculorum” (New World Order or New Order of the Ages) which explicitly left out what Christendom had held for over 1700 years: that Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings. The “founding fathers” deliberately chose to reject God as the ultimate sovereign and replace Him with the “will of the people.” America divorced Jesus Christ and chose to pursue the world’s oldest profession.

“We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Was it the Blessings of God that the USA sought?
NO, it was the “Blessings of Liberty.” Highly unusual language, to say the least, especially in the 18th century.
Especially for a country supposedly filled with Christians.
When “liberty” is a people’s highest value, that people will be totally distraught, disoriented and devastated when their values comes crashing to the ground.
Put your faith in Jesus Christ and secure His blessings–not the false idols of man.
