“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
–Galatians 6:7-8
[A few weeks ago, a long conversation took place.
Earlier, it looked a LOT like rain, but it turned out to be a sunny, SUNNY day. Whether that affected the TONE of the following conversation or not could not be determined–even later.]
“I’m all about the kingdom of heaven, man. I think about it a lot!”
“What do you think about?”
“How sweet it will be! How easy things will be! Especially after wading through the messiness of this life.”
“What if the longer you’re in heaven, the easier things get?”
“Yeah! I never thought much about it, but YEAH!”
“You ever get past the thinking stage?”
“Whaddya mean?”
“I mean, do you ever get to the point where you stop what you’re doing and actually DO what you’re thinking?”
“Whaddya mean? Sometimes–most of the time–I just wander around, lost in my dreams.”
“You think God knows who is telling Him the truth?”
“Sure! God knows EVERYTHING! Of course, sometimes, I can’t even tell if I’m serious or not!”
“What was that old commercial? It’s not nice fooling God?”
“Yeah! I think it was ‘It’s not nice fooling MOTHER NATURE!”
“Well, it’s DEFINITELY not nice fooling God!”
“No, you don’t want to even THINK about fooling God!”
“You CAN’T fool God…don’t even try!”
[And THIS was the most interesting part of that long discussion which happened on that sunny, sunny day.]
[NOTE: Sometimes, a piece will go places it never was expected to go.]
DOES the reader believe he can fool God–just a little?
DOES the reader even believe in God–just a little?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
