There have been a LOT of things said about the “labor” in Labor Day.
Which is why there are a LOT of Labor (Day) quotes.
Well, so there are NOT many quotes SPECIFICALLY about the holiday of LABOR DAY–BUT, there are a LOT of quotes about what LABOR DAY is supposedly about: work and labor.
So, to mark the occasion of LABOR DAY 2022, here are TEN quotes about labor and work.
“Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.”
“Without labor nothing prospers.”
“There is joy in work. There is no happiness except in the realization that we have accomplished something.”
“The highest compliment that you can pay me is to say that I work hard every day, that I never dog it.
“No person who is enthusiastic about his work has anything to fear from life.”
“All wealth is the product of labor.”
“To find joy in work is to find the fountain of youth.”
“Opportunity is missed by most people because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.”
“Nothing ever comes to one that is worth having except as a result of hard work.”
—Booker T. Washington
“I learned the value of hard work by working hard.”
TEN quotes for Labor Day 2022…
Very little on Labor Day itself BUT a LOT on work and labor.
Guess that’s the way of this world…
DOES the reader celebrate LABOR DAY for all of its values–OR, does the reader celebrate LABOR DAY because it’s a day off work and a holiday?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
