LABOR DAY 2022

LABOR DAY 2022

“Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.”
–Ephesians 4:28

LABOR DAY 2022 is a day which marks different things for different people.

LABOR DAY not only celebrates the work (labor) of Americans, it is also the UNOFFICIAL ending of summer and the beginning of Autumn.

It is a day on which many base their whole life’s schedule for the coming winter months–though such an agenda is carefully designated to be “unofficial.”

LABOR DAY is also a day which commemorates the sheer JOY of meaningful work–which is largely lost upon those who celebrate the day because of the ADVERSARIAL relationship which has stalked those who labor and those who oversee such work.

LABOR DAY is, therefore, largely a day for the many who labor.

NOT for the few whose labors make that labor for the many possible.

LABOR DAY 2022 will be a day which is celebrated because it is–for many–a paid holiday: a day when they are paid EVEN THOUGH they do not labor.

On LABOR DAY 2022, there will be a great many references to “those who made this day possible.”

Meaning TO MOST, “labor leaders” who championed the many against the few.

In addition, LABOR DAY has become a day to honor those who have died defending America.

Perhaps because AFTER Labor Day, (in many locales) the weather becomes inhospitable to tending graves and other outside chores.

LABOR DAY 2022 will be no different in this respect.

A great many will busy themselves with, not only tending to the resting places of those who are no longer with us, but to all things which work to commemorate the events which took those who are no longer with us.

LABOR DAY 2022 is a day which marks different things for different people.

To MOST Americans, LABOR DAY 2022 will represent ONE MORE day to go barefoot; to wear shorts; to dress as those in the summery weather dress.

One more time to gather together to EAT, mostly of outdoor, traditionally summer fare.

To the very few CHRISTIANS, Labor Day 2022 is another day which is marked for the promised coming of Jesus Christ back to earth.

It means that today is one day closer to that looked-for event than yesterday.

To the very few who are CHRISTIANS, that is where the focus of LABOR DAY  2022 will be.

It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
