TALES OF PURGATORY: A PLACE NOT FOUND IN THE BIBLE

Purgatory: a place taught by (mainly) Roman Catholics, is a place NOT found in God’s Word.

Purgatory: a place taught by (mainly) Roman Catholics, is a place which had its beginnings in paganism and pagan writings.

Purgatory: a place taught by (mainly) Roman Catholics, is a place in which MANY of the church folk find fairly EASY to believe.

Purgatory is supposedly a place where a sinner may go to “burn off” sin and “purify” himself. When the sinner has burned off enough sins, he may then enter heaven.

Though purgatory is NOT found in God’s Word, it IS found in the many, many tales of that counterfeit Christian religion, Roman Catholicism.

To give their stories a sheen of believability, RC teachers torture a few verses found in God’s Word.

Like Hebrews 12:19.

“For our God is a consuming fire.”

or Luke 23:43.

“And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, To day shalt thou be with me in paradise.”

So, there is NO Biblical basis for a belief in purgatory.

It is NOT difficult to believe that the concept of purgatory proves popular with the Catholic church folk. Not many consider themselves “evil” or “wicked“; not many consider themselves (with good reason) ‘good enough’ to make it into heaven AS THEY ARE.

HOWEVER, a great many have little difficulty believing they are “foolish” (a word often used interchangeably with “evil” or “wicked“); apparently, they consider it a good trade to burn a bit in the fires of purification IF they will at least get into heaven in this manner.

So, the doctrine of purgatory is welcomed by the (Roman Catholic) church folk.

Again, IF Roman Catholics believed God’s Word, they would find NO support for the idea of purgatory.

The concept of purgatory sprung, not from the minds of Catholic theologians, but from PAGAN writers.

The idea of purgatory has roots that date back into antiquity. A sort of proto-purgatory called the “celestial Hades” appears in the writings of Plato and Heraclides Ponticus and in many other pagan writers. This concept is distinguished from the Hades of the underworld described in the works of Homer and Hesiod. In contrast, the celestial Hades was understood as an intermediary place where souls spent an undetermined time after death before either moving on to a higher level of existence or being reincarnated back on earth.

Purgatory is therefore, a pagan concept which found a popular following in counterfeit Christianity.

One way readers may know this is not a concept found in God’s Word.

It offers a ‘second chance’ to all those deemed unworthy to enter heaven.

‘Second chances’ are a popular concept–but they are foreign to Christianity.

In addition, the entire idea of purgatory lessens the once-for-all sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

IF purgatory existed, then it would be possible for one to make it into heaven WITHOUT Jesus Christ.

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

One additional method for determining purgatory is NOT in God’s Word.

One may search God’s Word itself: there is not only NO mention of purgatory, there is NO mention of anything even remotely sounding like purgatory–UNLESS one is so consumed with an ‘easy’ way to making it into heaven, that one ‘reads into‘ what IS found in God’s Word.

One last way readers may know that purgatory is a fairy tale: it offers a chance of folks to offer PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD to ease their time of ‘purification.’

What does God’s Word say about PRAYERS FOR THE DEAD?

“The soul that sinneth, it shall die.”

“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”

One will NOT read of purgatory in God’s Word.

One WILL read of purgatory in the Traditional Tales of the Apostate Churches.

TODAY’S “FEUDS”

Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right?

And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?

Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.

What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?

Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”

One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.

Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”

Oh–and pro wrestling…

One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.

Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.

Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

LET ME COUNT THE WAYS: GOD CONSTANTLY DOES THINGS FOR BELIEVERS

Occasionally, it occurs to the believer that God does SO MANY things (both requests prayed for and those which were unasked) that the believer wonders “Why?”

“Why does God do so many things (both large and small) for me?”

As usual, God’s Word supplies a few answers.

1- God favors the believer CONSTANTLY because He can.

“But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.”

“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”

“Is any thing too hard for the LORD?”
–Genesis 18:14

2- God CONSTANTLY favors the believer because it is His nature to be merciful to those who believe.

“The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”
–Psalm 34:10

“My son, despise not the chastening of the LORD; neither be weary of his correction: For whom the LORD loveth he correcteth; even as a father the son in whom he delighteth.”

And these are just a FEW of the reasons the LORD CONSTANTLY does things (both great and small; both prayed-for and those things which went unasked–for the LORD knows our minds better than we do) for believers.

COINCIDENCE OR SCRIPTED EVENT?

Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan – Still think major media events are random happenings and not scripted?

Futility, or the Wreck of the Titan is an 1898 novella written by Morgan Robertson. The story features the ocean liner Titan, which sinks in the North Atlantic after striking an iceberg. The Titan and its sinking have been noted to be very similar to the real-life passenger ship RMS Titanic, which sank fourteen years later. Following the wreck the novel was reissued with some changes, particularly in the ship’s gross tonnage.

Although the novel was written before the RMS Titanic was even conceptualized, there are some uncanny similarities between both the fictional and real-life versions. Like the Titanic, the fictional ship sank in April in the North Atlantic, and there were not enough lifeboats for the passengers. There are also similarities between the size, speed and life-saving equipment.

Just one of those coincidences–a word not found in the Bible–we hear so much about.

A FEW LESSER-KNOWN POINTS ABOUT THE END TIMES

Even though the end times have been studied and re-studied by a LOT of folks, there are STILL lesser-known facts about that time period IF one believes the Word of God.

THEREFORE, for those who believe they KNOW the end times (and, as well as those who KNOW they need serious work to catch up on the happenings of the end times), ETPR presents a few lesser-known points about the times in which we live.

1- The end of the end times are not only VERY CLEARLY pointed out, the event which marks the end of the end times is also in God’s Word.

The end of the end times is VERY CLEARLY pointed out in God’s Word in Matthew 24:14.

So, when does this event occur?

Revelation 14:6 supplies the somewhat-surprising answer.

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”

2- God’s Word is VERY CLEAR: No one–not the angels in heaven, NO ONE knows the timing of God’s end times events–but God Himself.

A GREAT NUMBER of false teachers have declared various days as the day Jesus returns or the day of the LORD or the end.

The truth of God’s Word declares that NO ONE knows EXCEPT God Himself.

“Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.”

“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

“But it shall be one day which shall be known to the LORD, not day, nor night: but it shall come to pass, that at evening time it shall be light.”

3- The end times are very hard on the wicked, but they also are very difficult for the followers of Jesus.

This is the way God planned it out to be.

Apparently, all those entering the kingdom of heaven need tested one last time.

And that testing–though some do survive–probably will involve them giving up their lives as a testimony for Jesus Christ.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

END TIMES APOSTASY IS REBELLION AGAINST GOD

Apostasy is rebellion against God Almighty and His Son, Jesus Christ.

The Great Apostasy can take many forms. The most commonly preached in the churches is “apostasy is a falling away.”

The word “apostasy” comes almost directly from the Greek: ἀποστασία or apostasia, which can mean “defection,” but literally means “revolt.”

So while some will merely defect or “fall away,” more will actively “revolt” against the “faith which was once delivered unto the saints.”

This revolt is currently swamping the churches: seeker sensitive, purpose-driven (instead of Jesus sensitive or Jesus-driven) social clubs masquerading as Christian churches; gatherings where people congregate to be entertained with music or spectacles; emergent groups where people sit in pews and listen to New Age and other philosophical discussions; militants who think that the church has to conquer the world before Jesus can return; cults who follow other gospels; and many more.

There are attempts to “explain away” Jesus’ question in Luke 18:8.

“Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?”

His question was not rhetorical. Present happenings confirm this.

Present circumstances also confirm another of Jesus’ observations.

“They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.”

The Great Apostasy began years ago. It’s been gathering speed over the last several decades.

But it’s only getting started.

J.J. Thomson won the Nobel in Physics (1906) when he showed electrons were particles.

His son won it in 1937 for showing that electrons are waves.

(Translation: the son ended up proposing the better story that will be followed until someone else comes up with a story which tops his.)

WORLD WITHOUT BORDERS

The media is all about promoting a “world without borders.”

It’s all a part of the end times “unity” promotion run by the media on a 24/7 basis.

A world without borders is a world that is governed by a one-world government.

A world without borders is a world celebrated by the mystery of iniquity as a goal of mankind and a gateway to peace, brotherhood and blah-blah-blah.

A world without borders is what the Bible calls the “beast.”

A country without borders is not a country–which is one of the prime reasons the US open southern border has been encouraged by the government/media.

The case for open borders – Actually, the advocates for open borders have pleaded their case in the Court of What’s Been Happening for the last 30 years or so.

It’s not only a loser. It’s an unpopular loser.

The author’s argument is “A better option than exclusion would be to restrict migrants’ eligibility for benefits.”

Apparently, a government which has proved totally incapable of the far-easier task of keeping illegals from crossing the purposely-defenseless border will do a bang-up job of identifying and keeping those same illegals off the benefit rolls.

But then, most of the high-profile illegal immigrant ‘advocates’ already know all of this. Their job is to provide a counterweight to common sense and prudence–and to distract and kill time while the hordes continue north.

It all seems part of a plan to stoke anger against illegal immigrants for a future smack-down of epic proportions.

Since the USA will soon become part of a larger region within the one-world society, borders are an anachronism.

Where Hurricane Matthew was concerned, the only signs of hysteria have been in the Corporate Media and government.

The government/media–particularly any that deal with weather–have been teaching a class on Squeal Like a Middle School Girl 101 for the rest of the USA.

IF Americans can’t handle a weather-related event, what will they do when more serious catastrophes show up?

It’s all about changing the outlook of Americans from “can-do” to “Won’t someone please save me!”
