The other day while whiling away the time shopping, a display which featured Halloween candy was happened upon.
The display was meant to grab the passersby’s attention: it was very dark–black, even–and promoted the candy it was selling wonderfully.
It was this large, cardboard candy display which caught this person’s attention and provoked a few thoughts about Halloween 2022–ONE in particular.
Halloween is the PERFECT holiday celebration for the end times.
Why?
Because, like the end times, Halloween is known for its death and destruction. Almost ALL promos of the event feature dark–even BLACK–backgrounds. Almost ALL Halloween promotions feature death–even if it’s only a cartoon skeleton or vampire.
Halloween is VERY big on the idea that it’s fun to be scared!
Particularly if the frightening experience is only pretend.
The reader might focus a bit on the fear and death that are integral parts of the modern Halloween experience.
IF that doesn’t get the reader into the spirit of the holiday, perhaps he might spend a bit of time pondering haunted houses, ghosts and other forms of Halloween trickery.
Halloween is also VERY big on the idea of FEAR–such as “Are you scared yet?” or “Isn’t this spooky?”
ALL of which make Halloween a PERFECT pagan celebration for the end times.
DOES the reader have his own ways of celebrating Halloween that he feels are ‘special’ and his own?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
